Not for another fours years, though, unless he packs it in (which is quite likely I think). Are you tagging him with the same colourful descriptions as you paint Trump I wonder? Incompetent -  beyond doubt but your insinuation is way off the mark. Perhaps you could clarify?

Clarification.

Our PM has handled the pandemic woefully. He allowed his adviser to break the rules scot free. He said he had an oven ready deal. He wants to alter an international agreement he approved. A WA that was the same as Mays which he voted against. He has made repeated racist comments. He has made repeated homophobic comments. He has made repeated mysoginist comments.

Seems to be very similar.

Obviously, if the Democratic candidate mattered no one would have picked Creepy Joe Boden.

Who? What do you call his opponent? Tramp? I said they would need subtitles.

Thats two posts with the names wrong. See, I repeat about the subtitles. Are you posting because the Tweenies has ended?

Your preference for referencing the dark days of German history is a bit worrying as well.

Just what is it you know? That she is not white? Because that's the only thing evident in this picture. You're the worst kind of racist bigot. You should be ashamed but actually wear your racism with pride. What a sad, sad excuse for a human being.

Kamala Harris spent $40m on her Presidential campaign and dropped out of the race even before the Iowa caucuses took place with a piddling 3% in the polls showing. Now tell us why this failure was selected to be Biden's running mate.

Jools and RTB in a panic that their boy Trump is losing ...and everything they hold dear will be repudiated as a result. As a practical matter Putin and Brexit and white supremacy are toast when he loses. And the worst thing for them is that Biden and Harris and a majority of American voters are not taking the daily provocation bait. Its driving RWNJs crazy.

Please explain how on earth the President of Russia (vile dictator that he is) or Brexit are going ..........'to be toast' if Biden becomes next American President?? May have escaped your notice that the EU referendum was won against the backdrop of a distinctly anti British American President and Putin first became Russian President in 1999!!  Your attempts to assume a direct positive correlation are outlandish and only serve to confirm the hysteria of your left wing rants.

So Putin is going to be toast when Biden is President? Is that after Sleepy Joe wakes up from his afternoon nap or before?

Your only rant is to keep going on about the "sleepy" quote. And the bloke is 10 points ahead! Don't you see the irony?

The demented Trump-haters seem to be struggling to answer why that failure has been selected as Sleepy's running mate, RtB, so I will supply the answer on their behalf as they obviously don't have a clue:  In the event of a Biden victory the Dems would replace the latter with Harris within weeks -- That's their plan and it's one that will thankfully fail...

It's looking like Trumpski/Pence 2020 is nailed on now 👍

Seeing as Jools is prattling on again about whats right (his speak for white) how about

In 2016, President Barack Obama similarly tried to fill a Supreme Court vacancy during an election year only to be rebuffed by McConnell, who controlled the Senate majority and argued a new justice should only receive a vote after the presidential election.

Donald Trump’s expected nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the supreme court, to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg, is drawing attention to a secretive Catholic “covenant community” called People of Praise that counts Barrett as a member and faces claims of adhering to a “highly authoritarian” structure.

This is the Judge who supports sterilisation for LGBTQ citizens.

How the hell can anyone in this world (excluding Jools and RTB) even think of that let alone condone it.

A federal judge is ousting the controversial Trump official who has overseen a vast weakening of public lands protections, ordering that he cannot continue in his position since he has not been approved by the Senate.

US district judge Brian Morris ruled that former oil industry attorney William Perry Pendley has been unlawfully running the Bureau of Land Management, which oversees nearly 1 out of every 10 acres of US land, for 424 days.

Before joining the Trump administration, Pendley called for the government to sell off its public lands and claimed climate change does not exist. He has also cited anti-Muslim figures and blamed undocumented immigrants for diseases, according to CNN.

During Pendley’s tenure, the bureau has finalized plans to permit drilling, mining and grazing on Utah national monuments downsized by Trump – Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante monuments. It has proposed oil and gas drilling in Chaco Canyon in New Mexico, a national historic park where sacred Native artifacts have been recovered.

Pendley continued to hang on to the post despite the withdrawal of his nomination, under an arrangement that Pendley himself set upmonths ago. In a 22 May order, Pendley made his position, as deputy director, the top post at the bureau while the director’s office is vacant.

After that he approved two sweeping land resource management plans in Montana that would open 95% of federal land in the state to oil and gas development, Bullock’s attorneys contended in court filings.

Anyone ever read The Pelican Brief?

🙂 Ah bless....

Russia has an economy the size of Italy. With Biden president, all the interference and collusion from Russia and between the Trump administration will face a proper reckoning. And if the US wants to bankrupt Russia it surely can. New sanctions coming for sure, so hence yes Putin will be "toast"

As for Brexit, reality is biting hard now, just wait until January. All the hopes of the Brexiteer's are pinned on leaving the EU can be compensated by greatly expanded trade and investment into the NHS etc from America. Well kiss that dream goodbye. It's already been made perfectly clear that if the UK messes with the GFA/Ireland there will be no FTA. Full stop. Biden btw is Catholic, Irish.

So the priorities of the new administration will be anti-corruption, adherence to the rule of law and reestablishing American leadership in the world. Putin will resist and get crushed as he has almost no resources to fight except bluster and murder, the Tories will have no choice but to follow because the natural leader of the Western world and an economic superpower is going to drive the agenda and Boris can't fight both the EU and US. On a much more minor level charlatans like Farage might be publicly exposed as shills too.... many in the Trump camp are already looking at jail terms and their contacts across the Atlantic are many... it'll all come out.

This is why the RWNJ's are in such a panic. Trump and his enablers are going to lose, they know it, and so they are goin to try and steal an election though propaganda, violence and the courts. They might pull it off, but they are much more likely to lose big.

If you care about democracy and western values, you'll hope that the American people choose Biden and Harris and the votes that they cast are fairly counted and reported. Like Kier Starmer, they are smart, middle of the road politicians and people know that.

Oh yes, Rock The Boat has history with invoking that. The first and only resort of the politically moronic. Like the occasion when he or she accused myself and KIO of being anti-semites, in a knee-jerk smear, which would have been odd, to put it mildly, in itself, if one had known anything about either of us.

But then doubled-down – here comes that fascination again - by equating us and our views with those who helped facilitate the rise of anti-semitism in Germany in the 1930s. And we all know what followed from that. But, crushingly for Rock The Boat, he or she is a prime example of those one would not dream of bothering to sue for defamation, on the basis that no-one serious would take them seriously.

I do agree with you that Trump will in all likelihood loose (and fairly significantly) the election although it will be interesting to see how the live debates go. I'm not a fan of Trump and I sincerely hope that his 'threat' to 'contest the result' will prove to be mere bluster. Believe it or not, most of the Republican Party would be glad to see the back of him so I suspect they will 'lever him to one side' if he's defeated. I do care about democracy and western values and agree that the votes cast are fairly counted and reported.

Lets just wait and see about Russia and BRexit and your 'middle of the road' potential US President and Vice President shall we? You make a host of sweeping predictions and it will be very interesting to see how many (if any) make it to the finishing line if indeed they even get off the starting blocks. Putin is evil, we all know that but he has seen off many US Presidents so I doubt Biden will give him many sleepless nights. Every newly elected President sings  from the old hymn sheet about.......'making America great again' (or variants of that theme). Truth is most fail. To assume that Biden will lead this wonderful new administration you outline is pure fiction in my opinion. Still - you may be right. If all your dreams do pan out then believe me I'll be the first to fawn at your feet! You might be waiting some time though so don't get your hopes up!

Fair enough. Let's compare notes in February. We'll either be well on the may to recovery or watching the demise of democracy. Democrats will need both the Presidency and Senate...

In the diary! Good to have a debate that was a bit waspy but with all good intentions and no personal malice. Unfortunately by February we will probably still be barred from FCR!!

Another day closer ... another set of polls confirming Biden's lead is being maintained. The "Red Wall" equivalent States are Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania - states Trump won by a razor thin margin and he's losing in all but one this time around.

Those polls mean very little, serfdom, and if the Dems go after Amy, and I suspect they will, they'll mean zilch 😎

If Republicans want to try and re-elect a con man .. go right ahead, Nov 04 will show they are in the minority. Dem's aren't going after "Amy" or "Catholics" - if they go after her it will be for having already made her mind up about cases before looking at the evidence. She is supposed to be a judge, not a Republican politician in a judge's robe... oh BTW Covid cases 30% higher this week. So much for Trump telling Fox News that "we have turned the corner on the virus" .. obviously only in his mind. Then off to golf, meanwhile Biden went to his (Catholic) church.

The only question is when do Republicans realize they've been conned .... $750 taxes indeed.

This statement below is the killer .... "anyone" who is rich can work out how not to pay taxes, that's a scam in its own right, but supporters might argue its "smart"

It's very different to keep two sets of books, telling banks you are sourcing loans from you made $450m but telling the tax man you lost $45m. That's called fraud and is something you will go to jail for... Cohen said this is what they were doing.

A very interesting press conference going on right now. Of course he's denying everything .... 🙂
