It's not photoshopped. Even Getty Images have the same photo. And yes, it is a clown.

Its fake. In photoshop they have used the burn tool. They've used the same tool on the front of his hair and overdone it on his eyebrows. It's a very amateur effort.

Photoshop isn't that good. You should look at the black and white photos.

annot believe people on this site supporting somebody who raged at Johnson for choosing Huawei, won't send Sacoolas back for trial and wants the NHS to be part of a trade deal which he now doesn't want because of Huawei.

So would someone ask him if the US companies such as Microsoft, Amazon etc aren't using personal details to the US advantage?

Swap for Prince Andrew would be a fair deal

The number of US troops suffering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI) after an Iranian attack on a US base in Iraq in January has risen to 109, according to US officials.

The figure is a significant increase from the 64 injured service members previously reported by the Pentagon.

President Donald Trump initially said no Americans were injured in the raid.

Meanwhile to recap what happened over the past few days ....

Only ONE Republican Senator had the guts to say what the President did regarding Ukraine and Biden dirt was wrong, and that he should be removed from office for it. That says something about his courage to do the right thing, but it says a lot more about the craven behavior of the other 51 Republican senators who voted to suppress any witnesses or documents that could prove the case one way or the other. See no evil.... hear no evil....

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry/romney-vilified-d-c-vote-convict-trump-finds-respect-support-n1133106

One course only a couple of days after Republicans again clutched their pearls over anyone suggesting that their "heads would be on a pike" if they voted against the President, and "moderate" Republicans stated with some certainty that the President had learned his lesson, and wouldn't do anything like this again, Romney 's head was immediately put on a pike by the President and his supporters.

"I don't like people who use their faith as justification for doing what they know is wrong," Trump said Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast, a typically apolitical event.

https://www.npr.org/2020/02/06/803445433/trump-blasts-romney-over-impeachment-vote

And of course the retribution campaign against anyone who crosses this President is just getting wound up....

Next we have the retribution against Ambassador Sondland and National Security advisor Vindman who testified to the House ....

In Lt Col Vindman's case he was escorted from the White House by security, just another petty put down action.

And Senator Paul from Kentucky read out the whistleblower's name, which is illegal, but he did it on the Senate floor, where his speech is protected.

The Senate acquitted Trump of both charges Wednesday, which was followed quickly by a vow from the White House to exact retribution on those who crossed the president.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/02/07/donald-trump-pressure-impeachment-witness-alexander-vindman-111997

After voting to acquit Trump, some GOP senators said they believed Trump would be chastened and exercise caution in the future — a notion he quickly refuted, insisting that he had acted "perfectly" in every respect. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), one of those lawmakers, said she would oppose any retaliation against witnesses who cooperated with the House.

Of sure Susan, you know the phrase "fool me once same on you, fool me twice shame on me". What is it 4 or 5 times now?

And of course the retribution campaign against anyone who crosses this President is still just getting wound up....

Yesterday we found that the Treasury has given financial information about Hunter Biden to Republican Senators and that Senator Graham talked with AG Barr to confirm that Rudi Guliani has been given a private communication channel to the Department of Justice to relay his conspiracy theories regarding corruption, the Bidens and Ukraine. So what the President and Giuliani could not achieve with the Ukraine government the US Republican led Senate and Department of Justice appear to be doing for him.

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/treasury-department-grants-request-from-senate-republicans-for-hunter-biden-documents/

“It’s unfortunate that Democrats whom we’ve kept in the loop on our investigations would recklessly seek to interfere with legitimate government oversight,” a spokesman for Grassley said. With a straight face no doubt. They could have "investigated" any time in the last 7 years, but no they have to do it now when Joe Biden is the favorite to become the Democratic Party candidate for President.

It's one thing you have to give to Republicans, they are utterly shameless hypocrites.

https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2020-02-10/barr-justice-dept-is-collecting-ukraine-info-from-giuliani

Attorney General William Barr has confirmed that the Justice Department has begun vetting information from Ukraine obtained by President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani regarding former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.

Now last I checked the Attorney General of the United States is supposed to work for the People not the President.

So that brings us to Roger Stone... the convicted go between Wikileaks and the Trump campaign staff like Manfort and Bannon.

Yesterday US Attorneys recommended 7 to 9 years jail time to the judge ahead of the sentencing phase. If that sounds like a long time it is, but the guy threatened the judge, tampered with witnesses and perjured himself

The Republican operative, who ....known the president for decades, was convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstructing a Congressional probe.

So last night the President tweets about it and this morning the DOJ says its "revising the recommendation"

President Trump tweeted early Tuesday that the recommendation is a "miscarriage of justice" that he "cannot allow," claiming that the "real crimes were on the other side."

As of this afternoon ALL FOUR of the lawyers on the Stone case have resigned in protest and two have resigned from the DOJ.

http://www.startribune.com/ap-source-feds-back-away-from-stone-sentencing-proposal/567764552/

The downgraded sentencing recommendation is sure to prompt allegations of political interference. All four prosecutors who tried Stone in November — Aaron ZelinskyJonathan KravisAdam Jedand Michael Marando — withdrew from the case on Tuesday afternoon. Zelinsky and Kravis resigned from their positions as special assistant U.S. attorney and assistant U.S. attorney in D.C., respectively.

Now you may be of the opinion that all of this is a storm in a tea cup and specifically because he is President, he can do anything he wants. And if you do think that, then all I can say is the "US CONSTITUTION and the "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE" and that it also shows a lot about your own morality and values too.

The country, the truth and the rule of law are not "his lawn" Rock the Boat. Thanks for playing.

Meanwhile, the President just prevented the former US Attorney for D.C (she was in charge of the Roger Stone case before she was replaced a month or so ago at the President's direction) from being asked awkward questions about what happened. Coincidence?

President Trump is withdrawing his nomination for former U.S. attorney for D.C. Jessie Liu

How low can you go with an impeachment case that should never have been brought, a case the Democrats said they would bring the moment Trump got started, a case they knew they would lose but brought it anyway?

The Democrats could have spent the past four years crafting a set of  alternative policies to appeal to the American people instead of wasting time trying to out-do each other on who could be the most 'woke'. Their Green New Deal is a woke manifesto, promising to pay a salary to even those who choose not to work. It's the politics of the lunatic asylum. They only need to look across the pond to see how that worked out for Jeremy Corbyn.

Blimey how many right wing soundbites can you crowbar into one paragraph.

I think he deserved to be impeached because of his corruption. Pelosi was always reluctant because she knew it would be hard to get through. This time she didn't have much choice, but I doubt even she knew how much he had corrupted the Republican party.

Anyway, and my predictions are always spot on, I'd put a pound on Michael Bloomberg.

Two posts - one for Rock The Boat and a second one for those interested in facts.

On the Democratic Party ideas front. You may've missed that in Nov 2018 Americans voted in a Democratic Party lead House in one of the biggest seat swings in recent history. Yes President Trump was on the ballot, but more specifically so was health care. Since Jan 2019 that House has passed over 400 bills covering subjects like healthcare access, drug pricing, firearms background checks and election security - ALL of which are very popular with American voters and ALL of which are piled up on the Republican leader's desk in the Senate waiting for a debate. But plenty of time of course to appoint unqualified (according to the American Bar Association) judges to the Federal Courts. This is the same Senate leader that said of President Obama's administration his single goal was "to make Obama a single term president".

i.e. all oppositions are opposed to the other side, that is obvious, so stop the right wing snowflake behavior for once and just look at the facts. The Democratic Party has an agenda, and the American people preferred that in 2018 compared to what Republicans offered.

The second post is about politicization of the Department of Justice.

Such interference is clearly another "High Crime and Misdemeanor" and you just know that Trump is going to pardon Roger Stone in the future. At this rate he could be the first President to be impeached twice. Now some will say a President has the authority to issue pardons, but the point is for clemency, not to be used as a tool to cover up evidence of your own actions. Stone was the go-between Wikileaks and the Trump campaign, and the Mueller report very clearly said so. And so we keep coming back to "why do all roads lead to Russia" question, over and over again.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/482707-trump-congratulates-barr-for-taking-charge-of-stone-case

BTW - how's that Russian influence in elections report going in the U.K?

I bet RTB doesn't know Trump didn't win the vote, only the electoral colleges. I don't think he has any debating skills and Bernie Sanders might well give him a verbal molesting. But the arrogant Agent Orange will probably do as he normally does and dismiss everything as fake news. And rely on all the good ole boys who are too thick to listen to anything but country and western, to bully people.

Even though I can't stand the Oscars, what Brad Pitt was correct.

Realistically nominating Sanders would be like entering an election with Corbin. So I don’t see that happening. Sanders % of voters actually decreased relative to the 2016 NH primary, he only got the most votes because two center- left candidates split that vote. But this is not a FPTP primary so for assigned delegates to the nominating convention this Summer it was effectively a three way tie.

Sanders (26) + Warren (9) = 34%

Buttigieg (24) + Klobuchar (20) = 44%
(and with Biden (9) = 53% )

The first two are from the North East as well, the other two from the Mid West, so that’s even more reason not to conclude Sanders will be the nominee just because “he came first in NH” fact is he won this one by 2%

Realistically nominating Sanders would be like entering an election wit Corbin.

Just like Corbyn, he will get the younger vote paradoxically seeing how old he is. Is he too far left? Maybe not after 4 years of this paper hat masquerading more like a President of a banana republic.

I know that Trump won the election through the same process as every other President. Funny thing - I remember after the UK 2017 GE Jeremy Corbyn's crew claimed he won. Odd how delusional those losers can be.

And I remember Brexit you Remainers saying how thick our side was, and you're still doing it except this time it's Trump supporters getting your hate. But never mind because the more you do it, the more Trump supporters will dig in their heels just like Leavers did to vote in Boris. It all means votes for our side

I have no idea what Brad Pitt said as I don't listen to celebrity b0ll0cks, no doubt he was telling us to stop drinking milk or something similarly stupid.

And if you're relying on the votes of the young well most of those college students don't get out of bed let alone tuen up at a polling station so no worries there.

And if Bernie looks to be winning the nomination you watch as the Dems parachute in Hiliary Clinton.

Then why do you repeatedly listen to Conservative HQ b0ll0cks? Brexit is over. If you are clinging on to that as a reason for our despising Trump then you really are thick, I'm sorry.

Pitt said he was told he only had 45 seconds to speak which was 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton. Deny that. If you persist in saying it was just a Democrat conspiracy, what was the outcome of the Senate Republican love in for a man they really despise. The republican senators and congress are just as steeped in the system as the democrats and could not believe that Trump got the nomination.

And since the election, what has the new Tory government done except pat itself on the back and offer up sound bytes.

Oh no. I forgot. They are going to waste £106BN.

Nobody gives a sh!t what celebrities like Brad Pitt think about politics. If you look to celebrities for your moral and/or political guidance them you're a bigger fool than I thought you were.

It may surprise you just how many people don't give a sh!t what Hollywood thinks about anything, especially those of us that live near there. They can spare me the shallowness and their hypocrisy. But apparently the permanently p!ssed off crowd obsessively care and always publicly whine about what Hollywood says.

For myself, I prefer facts and seeing through verbal smokescreens. Maybe you should try the same thing.

What is going on in the US and UK is not normal, in fact it's highly abnormal and everyone should wake up. We have seen these patterns of political behavior before. It's not Tories v Labour or Republicans v Democrats, it's wannabe fascists v democracy, justice, science, truth and responsibility.

Whichever side of the political spectrum you fall on, those things are worth fighting for.

In WWII our grandfather's generation did. Will you?

Yet you repeatedly get your information from agencies that suit your point of view. Can't you use your own brain for a change and use reason as a basis for your opinion.

The reason I mentioned Pitt was people, not just celebs, who I can'r stand either, recognised that the Senate refused to hear witnesses because they wanted to cover up the truth. And you back these people. And will blindly continue to.

I am a socialist but was not being fooled by Blair's lies. I can and could openly criticise my own party for lying, deceiving, betraying the people they call members.

I don't follow any mantra obediently but you are obsessed with the right wing. And yes, you are having your day at the moment. But believe me, our day will come. This bunch of lying, egotistical leaders on the world stage will be eventually found out. And then where will your views be answered?
