The only obtuse person here is you.

Thank you for the comment, I'll take it on board.  Nice of you to re read my posts, I hope they were of interest.

I suspect that we actually agree on quite a lot but maybe this is not the place to really find common ground.

His lack of humility in defeat and inability to move on, be gracious etc etc is corrosive.

His lack of humility and inability to move on and be gracious!! 😮

Democrats have spent the entire term of Trumpski's Presidency trying to remove him -- There was no stone left unturned in order to take the presidency by coup, impeachment alleged Russian collusion and anything else that sprang to mind -- In this they were ably assisted by the MSM and social media, yet Trumpski survived and actually thrived.

If you or anybody else seriously believe the Democrats did not apply similar underhand deceptions during the election period you are deluding yourselves and making yourselves look very stupid.

Have you actually bothered to listen to this steaming pile of laughable conspiritorial cr*p? I think I can see the home-made tin-foil skull cap poking out from underneath his wig. Jesus! you've got to be seriously dumb to post this. Not one piece of evidence offered by this loon, but then that's never stopped you either. HILARIOUS!!!!

Tone down the anti-Semitism, please. You're not at a Labour Party meeting now.

Bill never accused me of being Bill.  I think i might be!

Some interesting thoughts here over the last couple of hours. And to YF, I completely agree with your colleague. The whole thing with Trump now is how he saves face. Let him have his excuse and he will actually probably go quietly.

Prove it. Remember you good ole boys in Deliverance.

By the way, I'm all fixed thank you. Thanks to the NHS, I have a clean bill of health.

I have never encountered two more complete morons than Jools and yourself. As I said earlier, you have no grace. No compassion. And nothing to contribute.

don't give it out if you can't take it. Though sounds like you've been taking it a lot.

I was speaking of the behaviour of the president not the behaviour of other parties. You know, being presidential.

Haha Surfer. Thats almost the exactly the story I tell interested parties about driving across the states away from the large cities on the coasts. It's either bible studies or heavy rock. I have to oscillate between them every 30mins to keep sane. Love the grandeur of it though.

The USA is a fantastic country, filled with generous and patriotic people. Also filled with crooks and grifters and extremists of all persuasions. Driving across it you can't help being exposed to the physical wonder of it, the immense size of it, the abundant resources within it. I told my wife on one such drive across Tennessee - passing mile after mile after mile of maize, soy beans and cattle - "this is just one state, how could anyone possibly screw this up?"

Only one person looks very stupid here. I think I'll take the word of a Republican election commisioner over your conspiritorial bullsh*t.  You backed a loser again, get over it (and perhaps you should remove that ridiculous video you posted that was put together by a convicted child-**** abuser)

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/republican-election-commissioner-says-counting-votes-not-a-bad-thing/ar-BB1aPKkT?ocid=msedgntp

A Republican election commissioner in Philadelphia has dismissed claims of “rigging” by president Donald Trump, saying that “counting votes is not a bad thing”.

Nothing lamer than one-term Trump sulking in the White House, $400 million in debt, heading for divorce and unable to work out what to do now.

I don't think I ever threw this amusing German satirist into the mixer. Mind you, he also ended up in a serious diplomatic crisis with another thin-skinned despot in Erdogan.

Actually thinking about it, it seems very apposite that Rudy stood there between a stiffy and a stiff because that seems to be precisely where he was fiddling with his genitals in that embarrassing Borat clip.

It's begun... 👍

What the Republican Party civil war ? ... yes it seems like it. Given the current Governor of Georgia is widely perceived as having cheated like hell to ensure he got elected (he was Secretary of State and so in charge of administering the same election he was running for Governor in - no conflict of interest there eh?) I can see why these two Republicans are so miffed that his successor did not extend to them the same courtesy that appears to be due to any Republican candidate running for office in a Southern State.

The little fact they are both credibly accused of insider trading last Spring by selling stocks on information about Covid that only Senators were aware of, and the person who the Governor defeated ran the Democratic campaign that led to Biden turning a red state blue for the first time in 40 years has nothing to do with it .....

As Georgia election officials continue counting ballots from last Tuesday’s presidential election, the state’s two U.S. senators, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, issued a blistering press release accusing Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger of overseeing a vote-tabulation process that they say, without evidence, is amiss.

“The management of Georgia elections has become an embarrassment for our state,” the senators’ statement read.

Loeffler and Perdue also called on Raffensperger to resign. All three are Republicans.

In a Facebook post, Raffensperger rejected Perdue and Loeffler’s broadside.

“Earlier today Senators Loeffler and Perdue called for my resignation,” he wrote. “Let me start by saying that is not going to happen. The voters of Georgia hired me, and the voters will be the one to fire me.”

He also wrote that “from an election administration perspective,” the general election “was a resounding success.”

Wow! even Fox news can't tolerate the Trump lying bollox any longer:

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/fox-news-cuts-away-from-mcenany-press-conference-i-can-t-in-good-countenance-continue-showing-this/ar-BB1aQsLq?ocid=msedgntp

Host Neil Cavuto cut into White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s opening statement saying the election was far from over.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. I just think we have to be very clear: she's charging the other side as welcoming fraud and illegal voting, unless she has more details to back that up, I can't in good countenance continue to show you this," Cavuto said.

What does matter is the behavior of the Republic Party, and so far that is not good. I understand some may be jockeying for leadership of Trump's base after Trump is defeated, but the longer they entertain this "count every legal vote but not illegal ones" which is an obvious dog whistle for "count white votes and not black ones" the more damage they do to the country.

It's obvious from today's actions by Senate Leader McConnell, House Minority Leader McCarthy and Attorney General Barr, the Republican Party leadership has decided to take president-elect Joe Biden's olive branch and cremate it.

If it is to be political warfare, so be it. Better to know now than to pretend they will ever co-operate.

In the 1850's the Whig Party split into what became the Republican Party and the No Nothings. We seem to be at that point once again.

was a nativist political party and movement in the United States, which operated nationwide in the mid-1850s, originally starting as a secret society. It was primarily an anti-Catholic, anti-immigration, populist and xenophobic movement, The Know Nothing movement briefly emerged as a major political party in the form of the American Party. Adherents to the movement were to simply reply "I know nothing" when asked about its specifics by outsiders
