Update: Congress (House of Representatives) passes the resolution to "formally" open Impeachment Enquiry.

This means we move from testimony in private (evidence gathering phase) to testimony in public (evidence testing) phase.

If Congress (House of Representatives) later votes for one or more Articles of Impeachment, the trial is held in the US Senate.

Yes. Private where Trump's attorneys were barred from entering. A kangaroo court that won't survive the public examination.

I wonder whether your support for him is just to wind us up. I hope it is and not any belief that the bloke is for real.

I think that is a very likely scenario KG. They support him because it upsets the Libs. Pretty sad way of looking at life.

Meanwhile, administration officials continue to refuse to testify. The latest being Rick Perry, Energy Secretary,

But sooner or later they will have to whether they want to or not, the rule of law is clearly on Congress' side.

Nearly every major poll had Fake Hispanic Beto O’ Rourke beating President Trump in 2020

CNN even had him winning by up to 10 points

Yesterday, O’ Rourke dropped out of the race because his own team realised he had no chance

Fake polls!

When Trump wins again in 2020, it will be because America has voted for him in spite of all the fake news. And he will win.

Nobody is going to testify to a privately-held kangaroo court.

What happened to Mueller?

So why has Drumpf impeached himself by going after Biden? Is it because everyone, even someone as ridiculous as Flump, knows where the real threat is??

America didn't vote for him in in 2016, he was about 3 million votes short.

That should have nothing to do with our opinion of him. And I just fail to see why you support him so avidly. There is nothing you can say to convince me otherwise. Every bit of garbage and lies that come out of the bloke's mouth is enough for me.

I wrote a long post a week or so ago explaining why America voted Trump. Much of what you read about him is fake news. As is the current impeachment attempt.

In dreary Des Moines the dull Democrats fail to find a new Obama. After four years they can't produce a candidate to trump the Donald. Talk is of wobbly Hilary entering the race. Sad times indeed.

Meanwhile back in reality - Republican Senators know the truth about what happened in Ukraine and we have already seen the “no quid pro quo” defense shift to “ so what, it’s not illegal” the problem with that is, as they know, it is....

Do you really believe that this is all fake? Come on be sensible. The man isn't a politician. He cannot handle it. It is way too much for him. He has had 57 sackings, resignations or change of job of his White House staff. That does not illustrate stability but turmoil.

Trump does not offer stability. I described him as a 'disruptor' which is a very effective method of management, especially when dealing with large, beurocratic organisations

When most voters want stability right?

Voters want jobs and money to take care of their families. Trump delivers that. Employment is up in every single category of persons.

Most people aren't interested in the political twists and turns. As long as they feel that things are moving in the right direction for them personally, they're happy.

US Jobless Rate Rises to 3.6% in October

The US unemployment rate increased to 3.6 percent in October 2019 from 3.5 percent and in the previous month in line with market expectations. Over the month, the number of unemployed persons increased by 86,000.

Yeah and Hitler had the same game plan. Worked out well didn't it?

The economy has delivered in exactly the same way since before Donald Trump was President to now. What the President has added is division on a daily basis, he's clearly only interested in those that voted for him and their racial and religious animosity to others.

Explicitly aiding and abetting in this project of hate is the ex-Australian Rupert Murdoch. Add in Twitter and Facebook manipulation and it’s a toxic brew corroding civility in America.

Meanwhile, back in the real world - The New York Times just reported: for someone who promised to show the voters his tax returns (as every candidate has done for the past 25 years, although it is not legally required) he's trying desperately not to reveal them.

A federal appeals panel said on Monday that President Trump’s accounting firm must turn over eight years of his personal and corporate tax returns to Manhattan prosecutors, a setback for the president’s attempt to keep his financial records private.

The case, which has raised new questions about presidential power, now appears headed to the United States Supreme Court. Soon after the ruling, one of the president’s personal lawyers, Jay Sekulow, said Mr. Trump would appeal to the high court.

“The issue raised in this case goes to the heart of our republic,” Mr. Sekulow said. “The constitutional issues are significant.”

It's very difficult to debate a subject when it gets dragged down to the level of 'yeah well Trump is Hitler and those that vote for him are racists and islamaphobes'.

Racist is the n-word for white people

" Nearly half of all Americans support impeaching President Donald Trump and removing him from office "

" Fifty-five percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance, including 45 percent who strongly disapprove of it, according to the poll "

" Fifty percent of Americans say they lack any confidence in Trump having the right goals and policies to be president "

" There is also bad news for Trump in the poll when he is matched up against either former Vice President Joe Biden or Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, both of whom are regarded as the frontrunners for the Democratic presidential nomination. Biden has a nine-point lead over Trump in polls where the two men compete directly against each other (50 percent to 41 percent), while Warren has an eight point lead (50 percent to 42 percent) "

and the sh it has yet to hit the fan when voters are shown what this orange faced buffoon was up to in accepting outside influence to manipulate the US election.... as well as much else

seems that dyed blonde haired leaders are in for a rough ride in the coming months as far as investigations go

I didn’t say that Trump was Hitler, I said that people used to say “ but look at the economy” about Hitler too - all the while ignoring what else he was doing.

So bury your head in the sand if you want, but he’s really just a huckster claiming the credit for other people’s work and all the while aiming to divide the country.
