Well that's that then.

Essentially it means his businesses are going to be fcuked even quicker than they were.

Turnberry made a loss ever since he bought it.

Trump Aberdeen never made a profit since it opened.

And he personally has 400 million greenbacks to find in two years time.

232 a rather unlucky number for Trump. Number of votes to impeach him in the most bipartisan impeachment vote in US history Number of electoral votes in his loss to Joe Biden

Donald "Two Times" Trump. Populism, what a disaster. Bullies, loudmouths, gob****es and the thick. That's all it's about and for.

The huge gap between election an inauguration is presumably very useful for a cooperative transfer of power, with the current nutter in post it’s proving to be a huge risk. Presumably this will be one of many things that will be examined after this is all resolved and the new President is  in situ.

One of the arguments for getting rid of Trump straight away has been what damage he might do between now and January 20. But the additional argument is what he is not doing that he should be doing, which is concentrating on the pandemic (latest daily death toll above 4,000) to alleviate the situation as much as possible.

So the US has deployed more troops to the Capitol to defend itself from Trump supporting terrorists, than it has deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq (combined) to defend itself against foreign terrorists.

Remember 2016 when Trump sought to ban muslims from flying in to the US to "prevent" potential terrorist attacks on the US; who would have thought that 1 term of Trump's presidency would require banning internal flights by Trump's home-grown terrorist supporters to prevent a real threat of terrorist attacks. What a fine legacy Mr Trump! hope you enjoy a long retirement sporting your orange jump-suit.

The impeachment if Trump ius about what he did; Not what he isn't, or win't be doing, That's absurd

His involvement in what can be described as an insurrection amounts to treason. It matters little if subsequently he cured all the  sick, fed the hungry and housed the homeless.

No politician if any creed should remain in office after such an act. Impeachment is the first step in not only acknowledging that, but the first step bringing Trump to account. And it also matters little what effect this has in his ragbag of insurrectionists.

Is the US to be governed by the clamour of the mob, rather than by it's elected representatives ?

Put him on trial. let the evidence be heard and proceed from there.

I did read that one of the reasons for the time lapse between election and inauguration was to allow the newly elected president time to move from his abode, presumably on horseback with his Winchester, to the Capitol.😁 I’m sure there are many and more accurate explanations, the electoral college etc.

This dangerous period between the two events must surely now be looked at after the behaviour of the incumbent.

I think Sedition is the legal term for such crimes in the US code - Treason as such I don't think exists.

However 'Sedition' is punishable by log imprisonment, fines and such.

Or golf buggy in Trump's case. I only know this because I looked it up, but the gap used to be much longer, because of the time that travel took back in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was reduced to what it is now in 1933. Plainly there is a case for a further shortening, although there does need to be something of a gap in case of  a disputed election and just to have a transition. The incoming president needs time to pick a cabinet, for one thing.

Oh dear! Trump junior's comments come back to haunt him:

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/trump-jr-mocked-as-tweet-about-deplorable-impeachment-comes-back-to-haunt-him-again/ar-BB1cKtv2?ocid=msedgntp

Back in 2016 – a time that feels like many centuries ago – Hillary Clinton referred to Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables” which caused a lot of a commotion.

Firing back at the time, the now-president’s son Donald Trump Jr wrote in a tweet in September of 2016, “Dear Clintons, You know what's deplorable? Being Impeached!!!”.

I wonder what beats "deplorable" as an adjective for describing a double impeachment???

Does put some context into how Rudy seems to have fallen so far, from the mayor who cleaned up New York City and who was lauded for his handling of 9/11 to a facist loudspeaker for Trump. Who's to say what we'd all do for $20,000 a day?

You really are a bunch of ignorant fools. Before your very eyes, without you even noticing it, five massive US corporations have taken over and now control the Left. The political space is now dominated by Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Twitter. They now control who has access to the media, social and mainstream. They have moved in to your space without you even noticing what was going on. Five massive corporations all dedicated to maximising profitability for the benefit for around a dozen people, half of whom you couldn't even name.

You are all cheering on what you think is a great victory when in fact global corporate interests are the massive winners today. And now when the Left thinks it has defeated its enemy it will turn in on itself, a repeat of the French Revolution. While the great corporations of America will be rubbing its hands as the cash registers sing. Kerching!

The Right still stands, drawn closer together now it is taking up defensive postures. Trump was an outlier, not even part of the Establishment and no one is mourning his demise. The Right will now stand aside and watch as you finally wake up to the fact that the Corporate Globalists now own the Left. So let the band begin and let's watch you idiots dance.😁

Where did you filch that article from?

KKK Executions, sorry, Executive? Proud Boys Mensa Weekly?

Thing is, for society to exist, and to exist for the benefit of all, not just white people, the US has no other option than to include large corporations. They don't have the Welfare State we have.

I think you will find, the directors of the companies you mentioned, have more global interests than the narrow attitude you have.

It looks like they have identified the cop killer

Won't be long before he is named, and arrested

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9139059/FBI-arrests-New-York-man-connection-Capitol-riots.html

The FBI on Tuesday released a photo (above) of the suspect they want to question for the murder of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick

another bit of filth off the streets

'A retired Pennsylvania firefighter was arrested Thursday on federal charges that he threw a fire extinguisher that hit three Capitol Police officers during the violent siege on the Capitol last week.

Robert Sanford, who recently retired from the Chester Fire Department, was arrested on charges that include assault of a police officer, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, civil disorder and unlawfully entering the Capitol'.

All rather reminiscent of post war Europe where former na zis were tracked down and brought to justice

ein joke, ein right, ein failure 😁

Meanwhile, Republicans in Georgia, frustrated that their previous efforts to prevent any black citizens from voting failed, are re-doubling their efforts to make sure that black citizens can't vote in future... Jim Crow is apparently alive and well.
