Lincoln at Gettysburg: “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Compare that strength of character  to Trump's in his attempted coup. Salute the defenders of democracy, the ordinary Joes, many of them volunteers, who have shamed the intimidators with their integrity in just counting - it's they who are making America great again and it's wonderful that it's happened in Pennsylvania. This whole episode has brought out the very worst in the pink un! 

Biden has got a big job to do now to mens America and I hope that he gets the support he needs from both sides.  Magnanimous both in victory and in defeat is what is called for and an end to the polarised sectarianism.

From what little I know of him Biden appears to be literally and metaphorically a grey man and therefore ideally suited to the most important job he has.....to tone it all down a bit...

After 4 years of Trump and his racist supporters I think we're allowed to indulge ourselves with a bit of gloating.

Until they ditch that Third World electoral model and in doing so, stimulate smaller parties then all you'll get is this raging polarised crapfest. Unfortunately, that suits both major parties so you won't see much call for it.

I dont suppose it really matters what is said on the pink un.  The debate has been very low quality but as most of us can't vote there is a bit irrelevant.

Biden is already being very magnanimous. The onus is on Trump and by extension his supporters to be graceful in defeat. So far its not looking hopeful.

Never in my life time have I seen a man cause so much division between the people of the US. He didn’t accidentally cause this, he actively incited it, using his Twitter account in particular to encourage it. And when things flared up in various cities and towns causing riots and loss of LIFE, he did NOTHING to call for peace between his fellow countrymen. So right there is the definition of scum.

I don’t mind being called scum for wanting the man dead, and don’t regret saying what I said. I am far from alone. He is a f***ing a**hole. I hope he gets popped for the pain and anguish he’s caused to innocent families in a country I still hold dear to my heart.

Trump is Yesterday's man, an irrelevance, it doesn't matter what he does.

What matters is what Biden does.  I think he is sensible enough to ignore the noise and reach out across the divide.

Tell you what... I'm actually enjoying Boris Johnsons apparent epiphany this week... I'm aware he's not to be trusted and that and he'll probably turn again before the brexit deadline but he was quick to congratulate Biden, on the blower with Rashford sorting starving kids out and promoting the great work done by the Oxford vaccine team... its really pissing off the racist, anti lockdown, all lives matter (apart from black ones), tin hat David Ike QAnon, 5g chinavirus, brexit party people he stole the vote off as well, actually beautiful seeing these **** combust with anger on twitter!

Gonna be a very interesting few months ahead... just wish these racist trolls like our very own Jools would disappear back to the caves they dwelt from. They are the real virus
