The Never-President Trump

One think I have never understood is why the Brexiteers have this fetish about Trump. He was never going to do the UK any favours. Rather he expected the UK to jump at his command. Hardly taking back control.

Check out who started this thread and who has made most of the comments and then come back and tell me who has the Trump fetish.

Clearly it is Brexiteers @Rock The Boat, @PurpleCanary may have started this thread but the intention was to get the discussion off the Brexit thread.

Looks like he is on they way out, is this the end for this particular groupthink?

Cohen was sent back to jail because he was writing that book, however a judge released him back to home confinement as the Government can’t discriminate like that - 1st Amendment.

Cohen testified in front of Congress the Trump organization lowered property values to lower tax obligations, but raised them to obtain bank loans. If it’s proven, that would be tax and loan fraud, both criminal offenses. The questions would be, if it was done who did it, and did Donald Trump know?  If he knew did he take any steps to stop the alleged practice?

The Trump organization’s CFO would know the answer to that, and Cohen suggests he does too, so yes the book could be very explosive if it comes out before the election.

Expect additional attempts to prevent any Cohen book being published until these legal arguments are settled, and an appeal back to the Appellate and Supreme Courts if this District Court rules in favor of Vance. As the AC and SC have already ruled on this once it will be interesting to see if they decline to take a modified appeal the second time.

Just for the record, voted Brexit, can't stand Trump. That HBO interview isn't just a car crash. Prince Andrew's interview was a car crash. Trump's interview was a tourist bus falling off a mountain by comparison. It absolutely boggles the mind how he's still even in with a shot of being re-elected!

I am often baffled by posts on this non-football section. I counted as far as the first 20 pages of this thread, and I had racked up seven posts, including the OP.

I stopped counting Jools' posts after just four pages, because he had already posted 16 times by then, and I stopped counting Rock The Boat's posts after 10 pages because he had already posted 24 times. And a glance at later pages indicates the picture has remained the same.

😂 Good luck with that one, Purple - I take your point but I think we all know that some actual basic facts, and/or reasoned arguments, are all water off a duck's back to Jools & RTB. 😂

I'm just glad their obsession with my political beliefs has meant they haven't cottoned on to the guilty-secret fetishes I really have...🤪

Lets not forget that the President is enabled by "traditional" Republican politicians.

"Mail In Ballots" and "Absentee Ballots" are exactly the same thing.... it arrives in the mail, and you can mail it back.

The "difference" they are trying to make a big deal of, is historically most States ask you to request one. But either way if you have to ask or you get one automatically, the signatures are checked, it's bar coded, it only goes to registered voters. i.e. they are lying agin.

Just for the record, brexit and trump are different sides of the same coin. Same funders. Same cheerleaders. Same disastrous results.

USA has the lowest Case Fatality Ratio in the world, lower even than Europe.

The US currently has a CFR of 0.033 – which is lower than the world as a whole (0.037) and lower than in the larger European countries. Britain’s CFR is currently 0.15, Italy’s 0.14 and Germany’s 0.043

To date, it has carried out 184,000 tests per 1 million population – twice as many as has Germany, a country which was widely praised for its testing programme in the early stages of the epidemic.

When it comes to Corona, the US is the biggest success story.

Oh boy,

The point of testing is not to run the most tests, it’s to test to get the spread of the infection under control, which Germany has and the US clearly has not - though Democrat led New York and California now have positivity rates around  1 to 5%, compared to 8% nationally and 15% to 25% in Republican led Arizona, Florida, Texas.

And an admission like “we let many younger people get infected but they haven’t died yet” isn’t a particularly good policy advert  is it?

If cases trend younger fatality rates should fall,  and as deaths lag cases an exponential growth in cases will lead to further dilution of the ratio - that is until and / or if deaths actually happen.

The simple fact is the US has 4% of the worlds population and 25% of the diagnosed cases .... and we are losing 1,000 people a day after 6 months to prepare the hospitals to respond - which they are doing well, but at very high cost - yet we continue to let people get infected by terrible public health “policies” like no masks, open bars, suppressing workplace regulations in food processing plants, test turnaround times of up to ten days, and political and media “leaders”  pushing non-existent cures and accusations of a socialist conspiracy to attack our freedoms.

So get back to me when the above changes eh?

If you want a leader in Coronavirus response look to Korea,  about the same 1/6 of the US population as the UK, but 300 deaths, not the 40,000 in the UK or the 150,000 in the US.

You are thick. They have tested more than us for instance (big surprise that Boris isn't capable) but that isn't how you compare.

But per head of population, not cases, their rate is nowhere near the best.

Trump made himself look pathetic during an interview by saying what you have published. Don't you keep up with the news?

Out of 150 countries the US is 141st. We are worse but thats because of your scum sucking mate Boris.

There are many countries with a lower CFR and deaths per 100k population than the USA

But I suspect you know this, and are just posting up shít because you can't accept people whose ideology you empathize with have fúcked up

It is disturbing that there are these idiots spouting nonsense that is clearly nonsense.

The US cannot afford socialised healthcare..... but it can afford a system that costs way above what countries with socialised healthcare pay - and his 'pet care plan' idiocy delivers a shambolic system that does not deliver

The reality is many in the US work for wages that are lower, with fewer holidays and less protection, but in their stupidity they blame those who are worse off than them

brexiteers in all but name
