Absolutely disgraceful from Stokes, really really poor bowling. I hope he doesn''t sleep for a week. All in all a rubbish days sport, but I would have taken the weekend for yesterday''s 3 points! NCFC.

Piss poor bowling indeed. The only thing i can think of is that he was trying to double bluff him and get him to sky one. But to do that on three occasions?!

As for the rest of this thread i can recommend some very "good" Mexican actors if you fancy making it into a Soap Opera. Strangely enough, that is something that Mr Chops would probably make a very good fist of :)

Just watched the game after recording it! I cannot understand why Morgan gave the ball to Stokes at the end. Should have had Jordan bowling the last over. Terrible captaincy IMO! Gutted!

Oh, and Plod is right!
Noted, Plod.
Try contributing something to this board instead of only posting about things you don''t like.
I am finding that increasing difficult as virtually every thread i read has your stupid posts all over it.

Jeez, have everyones periods synchronised, or something?

Indeed, I think it''s like a melting pot when everyone (including me) is tired of seeing him trying to moderate this forum. People are rightfully calling him out for it imo.

No Morty this is not about wanting him to change it is about him becoming an objectionable so and so these recent few weeks. Bor used to be a good laugh and add something to this messageboard but his antics and change of posting style coupled with some potty mouthed expletives one of which was used tonight somewhere is totally out of character.Everybody is who they are and yes there are some people to avoid because of their idiocy and trolling efforts. We know who they are and know what to expect as soon as you see that they have posted. If you don''t like the heat in the kitchen you do not engage them or if you do you know full well how it usually ends up. Why oh why Bor is going out of his way to make himself unpopular goodness knows because on past form this current persona goes totally against the grain.

It isn''t about him not being funny anymore it is about him becoming thoroughly objectionable in virtually everything he posts these days. He has changed and not for the better.

Yet again an honest thread is ruined.

To stay on topic - I totally agree that Jordan should have taken the ball for the final over. That was poor judgement by Morgan. He is our best death bowler and probably would have done the job. But hey ho. We had a fantastic tournament so overall I am chuffed to bit over how we have player throughout the tournament.

Though Stokes deserves no criticism. His catches today were superb.

I thought Jordan had already bowled his overs though. The only full time bowler left was stokes, it was either that or give the ball to roooooooot which would have been brave to say the least.

Having said that, after the first two balls had gone for 6 you would hope he would try something different...

Think people are being pretty harsh on Stokes'' final over. Other than the first ball, the rest were all close to being spot on, just missing the exact length. Difference was Brathwaite stood his ground and got underneath them - rewatch how he almost scoops two of them. It was also sensational hitting.

England lost the match, though, because they didn''t score enough runs. Morgan admitted as much too. The women''s match before showed you how easy it could be to get runs, as did Root and bottler''s partnership. Disappointing end, but superb effort by England considering how terrible they were 12 months ago in the World Cup.

Indeed Iwan, the balls were not full Yorkers but the way Braithwaite got hold of all four was nothing short of amazing. Had the over continued we could well have seen the equalling of Sober''s record against Glamorgan. It was slightly shocking to watch as an England fan but also enthralling.

And I''m not an England fan - and definitely not a Stokes fan.I must have watched the 2nd ball of that over 5 or 6 times now, and I still can;t work out how he got that level of elevation on the ball.

Yep to lift it and get it to the boundary, seems impossible.

(Looks like somebody has been covering his tracks, duplicitous indeed.)

To contribute to this threads other topic;I think Bor is funny, and one of the reasons I keep reading this place. He makes me laugh. He also makes some very good points on his posts after wins. I avoid this place for the days after a loss, as it''s hard to have a decent reasonable conversation what for all the threads with a whiff of bin.I have no idea what Bor has done to get people uptight, but everyone has faults. Some people even type all their posts in italics - the high-brow version all caps. Those people are the worst! But I try to be tolerant towards it.

Thank you Theo for your observations as your comment with regard to the use of italics was aimed at me. Just to say it was something that started out by accident when i first registered back in 2008 and i have stuck with it so sorry if it offends you. Maybe if i used a poor command of the English language and littered by posts with some effing and jeffing you may be even more tolerant of my efforts. [;)]

Vanwink, of course they weren''t full yorkers, hence me saying the length of delivery wasn''t spot on. But Brathwaite still had to do something exceptional to clout them for six. Considering it seemed like a below par batting performance from both sides, it turned out to be an amazing final.

Absolutely, I thought Braithwaite was amazing, some of the replies on here seem to suggesting it was more about bad bowling, but for me those four shots he hit were fantastic.
