Herman 11,114 Posted June 29, 2013 Unfortunately for me the obscure (weird shit) bands, that i like, are tucked away in places the BBC fear to tread, so nothing has taken my fancy as yet. Will try and catch a bit tonight, maybe the Stones as well.
SHRIMPER 328 Posted June 29, 2013 Would have liked to catch the Stones tonight but out to a hog roast and then the bands on Lynn waterfront followed by big firework display. Maybe catch up with it on iplayer.
Joanna Grey 0 Posted June 30, 2013 Those flags in the crowd are frakking annoying, what''s the point? Idiots.
Herman 11,114 Posted June 30, 2013 I like the flags. Gives it a sense of occasion. Plus there are always a couple of NCFC flags which I would try and aim for.
Herman 11,114 Posted July 1, 2013 Good old Brucey. They had to shut the field because of the amount of people.
SHRIMPER 328 Posted July 1, 2013 I thought some of the set shown on tv of the Stones was rubbish. I know we did not see the whole 2 hrs+ and I know at their advanced ages they cannot be flat out for that amount of time. Overall they were good though. Kenny Rogers for an old un had great support also.
Herman 11,114 Posted July 1, 2013 Lucky to get any of the Stones. The beeb had to get special permission to show what they did. Jagger is a bit skint.
SHRIMPER 328 Posted July 1, 2013 They said they only wanted people at the festival to see the whole show. Did you hear the interview with Jagger and John Humphreys on radio 4? it was great. Humphreys has been to lots of Stones concerts. Just shows that although he is into classical he does not mind a bit of moshing. I''m with you on the flags. Herman 11,114 Posted July 1, 2013 Fair enough. Just being cynical when it comes to big bands.Just listened to the interview. Very good. It sounded to me that John was a bit disappointed with some of Mick''s answers. There is a small interview with John in the guardian about his first festival experience. Worth trying to find. Herman 11,114 Posted July 2, 2013 He was another at the Roses gig the other week. Couldn''t really hear him properly. I think that everyone at Glastonbury gets a decent sound mix which would have helped him.
