As promised Hex ecce or whoever. Had a great time with these chaps last week and through family connections was able to fly with them. Just a few pictures I took from the door. Luckily I sat right in the doorway which was kept open so I could get a few pictures. Puma''s are not built for comfort as they are the workhorse of the Army and RAF and the vibration was fierce so hard to keep the camera still. Just snaps of the Oxfordshire countryside really.

Hex replies these days. ("ecce homo" springs to mind, but is dished)Must have been fun with the doors open.. Shame you didn''t overfly politicians 2nd homes with a 50 cal running.Interesting Jpeg #6 a sort of ground racetrack for quadbikes.?I am not a hyper airplane enthusiast , but that one with a canon firing from the side was better than an Airfix one.hex

Yes it was track like Hex but no buildings in sight. This the real bit of kit. I tried the Monocular eye piece sight that points the cannon wherever you look, must be like shooting fish in a barrel, awesome. My son-in-law was kneeling down beside it but I have cloned him out. You can still see a bit of him behind the barrel[:D]

Good cloning. How did the Migs fail so many years ago.?.My oldest chum ,his dad was a Major General and became Her Majestys ENT specialist on Millbank. He fought in the 2nd ,3rd  or so Afghan war in about C18ish. It is a no win game. The great game it was called between the Russians and the British Empire.Sad for so many that have passed through Wooton Bassett.hex.

Obama. (Sorry I shortened you!)Strangely I posted about A-10s not so long ago. I guess the "Biggles" phrase is that a pair stooged over my place in Norfolk for about half an hour.I think they were waiting for a slot in an airshow. Not a plane I have seen before locally.Amazingly different sound to the normal jets into Marham and Lakenheath. But when the gatling gets going.....  Still the British Army had old style Gatlings or Maxims long ago,in Afghanistan, they took a pasting. I guess the CIA and Taliban defeated the Russians and the Mil gunships. If you are interested I posted a lot of my Father''s cine films on youtube. It took 30 years to move from cineto video and and then to digital. The early ones have terrible soundtracks .They came free with the Pinnacle. The best ones I will have to re-do. Sony objected to my choice of music. Some are aviation based. Catalinas In Port Moresby,Helicopter flights  all from the 50s. (Youtube cje49 )Best wishes. Hex

The A10 Thunderbolt (warthog) was a regular daily sight in the skies over the wash bombing rangers a few years ago Hex. You should have heard those guns up closish like I have on many occasions. I loved watching them flying their formations and going in for the kill, superb.
