I think my ears are allergic to jazz :-) Anyone else disappointed by the new Fleet Foxes album? Seem to have lost the simple fragility of the first one. Pj Harvey`s latest "Let England Shake" is really growing on me at the mo, despite the grim subject matter.

One of my favourite albums of the year so far. Pretty grim subject matter as you say but plenty to think about and enjoy.

Thought I''d try and calm the waters on the pulled thread topic. I spent the weekend playing this ol'' LP.Max''s live at Kansas City. Pale Blue Eyes. The link is to a different version. (The live is a bit off tune at times.)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nir4BnNIFmgce

Just in case we don''t meet again you should check out the 2 Roger Daltry solo albums.Plenty of youtubes and good reviews.I never bought it but Bryan Ferry doing Dylanesque is worth a listen. As a young married chap we used to cruise along the Kings Road in a friends open top sports car blasting out "I''m in with the In crowd" Ferry again... "Glory Days".Christopher.

[/quote]No contest. Moz even called David Cameron ''a silly twit''. Plus Fleet Foxes had already been on so no need to see their tribute band [:P]Primal Scream doing Loaded on 6Music now [Y]

Morrisey is a penis. Car crash viewing whenever I''ve had the misfortune of seeing him live.

Not a fan then Herb?[:D]

Must admit that Primal Scream are one of those bands that i never got into.I am sure we all have a band that we think we should like, but don''t.

Caught a bit of U2.But my laptop didn''t do it justice.

Twas'' a good

performance from Mumford, with about 3 or 4 new songs (that i''ve

already heard might i add *as i proceed to sniff sniff with utmost

pomposity*), though mind you it should come as no surprise, seeing as

the live stage has always been their greatest forte (and for all the

hype, i''ll never tire of hearing Marcus belt out a typically

heightened Mumford & Sons chorus).

I''ve been listening

to WoodKid''s Iron

fairly often over the past week or so, though i must confess for

having learnt of it via the trailer

for the upcoming Assassins Creed game
(being

a bit of a rock and roll nerd
).Speaking of Tim Minchin,

here is a quite

awesome poem for any man or woman with a love of scepticism,

''blessed'' with a rationally cognitive mind
(fans of astrology,

homoeopathy, or religion may wish to steer clear however).

Some of us old dinosaurs on here like listening to some of the old stuff from the 60s and 70s, do any of you young''uns ever listen to any of that sort of stuff?

Recently been listening to a lot of SBTRKT, James Blake and Little Dragon - they are all the big new things but can still feel a little ahead of the game as I have been a fan for a while.

As for 60s/70s stuff I do listen to a bit, bands like Silver Apples or Can are personal favourites.
