After recently seeing that Mr Dublin supported them them this week I dug out Seaside''s and Bside''s by Ocean Colour Scene , a great album and very easy listening.

the Octupus by Amplifier, 2 hours of fine prog rock for a mere £7, bargain of the century.

This evening I have mostly been listening to Little Walter, Kraftwerk and Ride. And I''m now listening to Buddy Holly before bed. Don''t tell anyone but I may be a little bit drunk [:-*][;)]

Great avatar Herman.. made me giggle. I will have a look around for some old snaps. None like that though.I like the sound of Byrdsian jangles. My time of life.For some reason, as I have a prior account with youtube, and should have done something which I ignored the last time. I can''t see it for the moment.!

Right . Signed myself back in... Great song.Terrible memories as a child of Pelham Puppets.They never did anything you wanted and were generally throwninto a corner in frustration. Not the right thread, but I watched the Michael Grade , History of Variety. Ventriloquists had the same problems with dummies answering back!... ce

Educating Archie;

Peter Brough;  "Do my lips move?"

Beryl Reid;  "Only when the puppet speaks!"

Only in Britain would we have a ventriloquism show on radio[:S]

My avatar is the Aphex Twin whose record covers are odder than his music,which is pretty hard listening at the best of times!

Well .Today , catching up with an old favourite,"Don''t Think Twice"...I have an old LP but strangely no cd. So trawling youtube are some strangeconcoctions. Very little allowed. And I have to admit to being banned by Sony for my family youtubes from 1957. Such is life. J.Cash does a good version.RIP Suze Rotolo. A good muse.

What an open invitation. Having browsed yesterday and found all versions of Dylan''s "Don''t think twice"were blocked by Sony. Bryan Ferry''s 2007 "Dylanesque" has some stomping tunes.Even Eric Burdon did a great cover version. I will leave todays sounds to those better advised.ce
Enjoyed that mumford track, always on the lookout for something new. SA mentioned Kraftwork, never tire of them.

John
TF we won the war.....no Led Zep would''ve been tad harsh.                                                     YouTube - Kraftwerk - Das Model                                                            Up The Tubeway Army                                                       YouTube - Don''t Be A Dummy

Really really enjoying my Ska at the moment. Anyone seen the line up to Slam Dunk festival in Leeds (and somewhere else) looks amazing. I know quite a lot of people don''t like ''Third Wave Ska'' which is there is quite a bit off there, but i love it, as its the first ska Music i listened to (i like the older and original stuff too...)

Blur and the Verve are two bands i have been listening too quite a lot as well at the moment. Need to start listening to new music :P
