Berks canary 2 Posted September 1, 2005 Isn''t the Pearce saga a perfect example of Worthington''s failure in the transfer market that has produced the shambolic team we have . Isn''t it exactly 12 months ago he made the same panic move just before the deadline for Gary Doherty to fill the void left by Malky''s departure ? Wasn''t he supposed to be the answer ? Course not - I forgot Worthy bought Doherty as our frontline striker to lead us into the Premiership , becaiuse he forgot Iwan had been kicked out as well ! He hardly played Doherty as Centre back so he never really had a chance to impress ., But what''s so unusual about that ? How many games did Helveg or Charlton play at full back , the positions they were brought in to fill ? 12 months on and we still await a decent partner for Shackell . Enough said !
