Vrancic and McLean back on Sat ?

Recommended Posts

Maybe a bit early given who the opposition is - though that will depend I suppos on how Farke sees best to deal with Boro.
With three ''easier'' games after (Reading, QPR, Wycombe) we could see them back for those games.
With Cantwell, Thompson and Godrey chomping at the bit I suspect we will see at least one line up where fans will be thinking "what the hell ? "
My money is on a surprise recall for Jarvis

Both don''t meet the ''home grown'' criteria which makes it a bit harder to fit them in the team.

Personally I prefer Vrancic to Leitner so would like to see him back in when fit.

It is actually the 17 players named as the squad where the numbers count, though both looked to be up to being the starting eleven.
But as said that eleven depends of who Frake sees as the best to counter the opposition rather than who is the best eleven - and we''ve a run of seven games in three weeks, a weekend game with a midweek game each week, so we are bound to see a bit of rotation if only to rest players.
And let''s hope we come out of that intense period with no major injuries.

update
the pinkun now has -
"McLean is not ruling out making the next round of the League Cup at

Wycombe Wanderers later this month, after being sidelined since the

opening tie against Stevenage earlier this season.

“The recovery

is going pretty well. Originally we were looking at four to six weeks

and it has been just over four,” said the Scottish international. “I’m

aiming for the Wigan game, possibly Wycombe."
