Herman 9,582 Posted September 28, 2018 Like ducks to water. Appeared out of nowhere and made those positions theirs. Top lads and if the academy can keep producing players like them then we have a very good future.
BroadstairsR 2,093 Posted September 28, 2018 The view of the glass half empty brigade is that at least the market value of these two and Cantwell will keep the self-sustaining project on track for another season or more. The optimist might view their arrival, aligned with the likes of Pukki, Hernadez and others, as a kick start to another assault on promotion. It would best be this season though as it would seem that the club will have to hold it''s nerve to hang on to one, two or all of these three in the next Summer window. Apparently some bigger fish are already sniffing around. What price Pukki if he keeps his current form going until the New Year?If we are on a roll then it would constitute short-sighted stupidity to succumb to bids for any of our stars, but the reality might be different. In fact the reality is that we have yet to find out the current financial state of the club and just how much it need effect future business. Two things are now clear to me. Firstly, at least the financial doom and gloom of the last season or so has been somewhat lifted and secondly and squad wise our team only acquiring mid-table mediocrity this season would now be a disappointment. Helsinki canary 222 Posted September 29, 2018 Its an exciting time to be a City fan! Seeing these youngstes fitting so well into the team and making such a difference. Seems the balance of old pro’s and youngsters is being found again! Hopefully the money we made from Maddison and Murphy will keep the wolf from the door for atleast 1 more season. kick it off 1,927 Posted September 29, 2018 Theyve both been unbelievable. Adapted to first team football with no real learning curve and very few errors. They come across well, both seem like classy young guys with a real drive to succeed. Theyve been remarkably consistent given their age too. Hopefully we get to see them grow in the first team for a few years before we have to sell. They are both going to be decent prem players.
norfolkngood 1,070 Posted September 29, 2018 Both Very good and bags of potentialA True left back with pace is hard to find and i am sure the big boys are keeping a eye on lewis Thats fair enough the money from Maddison & Murphy will trickle in over the next few seasons and if we are with in budget will allow us to buy some more youngsters or a free like pukki''s wages I think Lewis could well become a 15 million pound player if he continues to impress
Fuzzar 1,701 Posted September 29, 2018 Tyrone Mings sold for £8m three years ago. Jamal should be worth £12m easily if he has another good season. But maybe he''ll get to play in the Prem with us.
