River End Canary 18 Posted September 26, 2018 Is it to early in the season for a mind the gap thread? Is the gap wide enough? All the things I thought before I started this thread but in conclusion it''s never to soon for a Mind the Gap thread 😁
BroadstairsR 2,272 Posted September 26, 2018 Well nine points is three clear wins and Hurst''s side don''t do winning. It really does begin to look as if the rivalry side of the business has been nailed already, proving that last season''s blip was just that, a blip. This "Pride of Anglia" label they adorned themselves with based upon a couple of trophies gained forty odd years ago has been short lived. They were delighted to claim this even though they outstripped us by the smallest of margins and lost five of the six points available in the head to heads. With that now sorted we can concentrate upon a top six place while they have a serious relegation fight on their hands.OK! Things can change very quickly in a game which has a habit of biting the over-confident in the bum, but if we can''t gloat now then we never can.The gift that keeps on giving. Bill 1,788 Posted September 29, 2018 I now we shouldn''t laugh, but the binner keeper 2min 0 sec is really embarrassing. https://www.skysports.com/football/birmham-vs-ipswich/392651 Something you might see a a Sunday morning park game and the poor unfortunates have their defender now banned (red card) and the striker (!) out for 2 months injured oh dear
