kingsway 94 Posted April 29, 2018 He isn''t the only one who does them so you''ll plenty more next season!
hogesar 9,618 Posted April 29, 2018 Maddison and Leitner like them too.To be fair they can be effective if everyone is thinking as quick. Unfortunately for us thats rarely been the case.
king canary 7,580 Posted April 30, 2018 It isn''t a lack of quick thinking, it is a lack of a plan. Wes wants to take them short every time but seemingly just for the sake of it. Yes they can work but only if you have an idea of where you''re going with it for the two or three touches afterwards.Classic example on Saturday where he took a short one when Hanley and Klose were halfway up already so when Leeds got the ball back they were in total no-mans land and they nearly hit us on the counter. BobLoz3 492 Posted April 30, 2018 Something we can agree on here, KC! :) I can''t stand the short corner routine. As far as I can tell, we''ve not scored from one this season. Just whip the ball into a dangerous area with pace and pack the opponents penalty box out with taller players, leaving the quicker (full backs etc.) back to clean up errors and divert a potential counter.
