Fulham ended season with 5 domestic loanees

Recommended Posts

Isn''t that against the rules? Law changed because Watford enlisted a large number of foreign loanees. Fulham loaned 2 from Chelsea Kalas and Piazon, Targett from Southampton, Mitrovic from Newcastle and Norwood from Reading.

We only got two domestic Reed and Gunn did we miss out on others or is this a blatant breach?

''Football League clubs will still be prohibited from selecting more than five loan players in their 18-man match-day squad.
They will also be prevented from borrowing more than four players a season from any one club, and no more than two over the age of 23.''
that was of Feb 2016

It''s the limit of the rules, no more than 5 loan players in a match day squad. You also can''t loan more than 4 from the same team.

also worth noting international loans dont count (even scotland) as they are technically full transfers for the duration of the loan, with a contract to reinstate the players old terms when they go back to the original club

@Smeg- I think they changed that rule post Watford but may be wrong.

Getting horrific flash backs to the Roeder season with people posting every week about how we''d broken the loan rules despite the international part being explained over and over and over and over and....

I believe you''re right king, that particular loan loophole was firmly closed after Watfords spectacular exploitation! Fair play to them though, played within the rules and got promoted!
