If by not looking good to some on here, you are referring to the sale of nearly £40 million of talent from an already average mid table squad, and replacing it with signings from the Poundland bargain bucked. Then yes, it’s not looking too good is it? Of the players on our books now from last season the top scorer had 5. Let’s hope that the bargain bucket production line produces a gem!

Endlessly whining about the club

The club and the people that own the club are two separate things. Many on here would do well to remember that.

The people who own the club are the shareholders - all of them
Though I doubt that will stop you from attacking the club in every post

It''s too late, I''m afraid.

It''s also impossible for obviously under performing players'' form to improve next season.

Other than Oliviera, who under performed last season?

On their day every club in the championship is capable of beating the top sides. Other than Oliviera I can’t name one player that under performed and it seems neither can you

Of course we will make signings , the thing is they will be cheap sub standard foreigners like last summer . Every chance of ending up in League 1 , owners who put nothing in and beg supporters for money , squad without any class whatsoever , and a Head Coach without a clue a recipe for disaster for sure for sure .
And still some of the clueless idiots on here lap it up.

Murphy for the most part - hence we cashed in while we could

Mute point as he won’t be here next season. And he underperformed so much he was our second highest scorer and will be playing in the PL next season...

I would say Watkins,Srbeny and Franke for starters but just thinking about they were $hite as opposed to under performing.

How can they have under performed when they barely played a game??

Exactly. There is a difference between underperforming and playing to your ability

Martin

Controversial opinion to say Martin underperformed when popular opinion on here seems to be he’s shit anyway??

If we wrote players off in 3 months perfomances Iwan would never have lasted - he was shocking that first season for us with little sign of any redeeming features. Yet look how many he scored for us.

I think the remaining squad can improve on what we saw last year. The challenge is getting players in that mean the gap left by Maddison, Murphy etc is not felt as catastrophically as many predict. Eg, can vrancic buendia leitner blossom in the space that maddison dominated (and occassionally made us one dimensional in our reliance on him?) That is a big ask.

So while the start from Srneby wasnt great he MAY improve, ( I still want us to sign two more strikers though), Franke wasnt great but kept a clean sheet in his 5 starts only when martin wasnt alongside him - he is better than his start here, although I dont expect to see him again. Martin is simply at an age where we have better already and his wont recover his form.

It is not too late, but while I dont see a relegation battle (there are some very poor sides again in this league) I am not expecting an auto promotion run.
