In my humle opinion we stand a better chance if we go with:

Hughes Safri Brennan

Huckerby

Ashton McVeigh

We should definitely give the Doherty/Shackell partnership a chance. Fleming clearly isn''t up to it. I think it gives us a more solid base in midfield and also gives huckerby the roaming role which he can utilise.

McVeight gets the nod up front because of experience

The only down side is the lack of natural width so we''d be looking at Hughes and Brennan to work with Huckerby to provide this.

With Hux suspended the orginal team certainly has appeal

is an alternative formation having numbers in midfield but giving players for Ashton to feed off when going forward.    All 5 go back, with the front three midfielders getting forward quickly to support deano when hughes gets the ball to safri to deliver a pass.  Who knows which city performance we will get?  All three results remain equally possible between two struggling sides. 

4-4-2 remains most likely though and I suspect we will see
