Tough start to the season !!

Recommended Posts

All the success the club had in the period 2009 to 2015 was due to McNasty not the Suffolk Socialists. The fact the club has tailed off sharply since he left just proves the point.

Under McNasty we were rising up and picking off all the low hanging fruit from the likes of Leeds and even Coventry with Maddison. Now that the club has reverted to type with the Suffolk Socialists having no challengers on the Board, we are the ones being picked off. I know that LDC is the eternal optimist, but where is the evidence Leeds got better by selling Howson, Snodgrass, Johnson and Becchio? Having to sell all your players is the price of failure and the Suffolk Socialists are responsible for that failure due to their many, repeated mistakes.

When they were promoted in 2015 that was when they should have sold to a sheikh because McNasty and a sheikh would have been the golden ticket to becoming the next Chelsea/Man City. But no, the SS put themselves before the club, McNasty left having taken it as far as he could and so we are where we are.

The club was better When Mcnally was here at the start because he and others were ruthless Business men

As soon as Delia wants to take more control and has yes men aboard it goes wrong

Nick Mashiter made an interesting comment that whilst McNally was the right guy in 2009, he wasn''t the right guy in 2012.
Ultimately the scouting system under Ewan Chester, then Barry Simmonds, then Lee Darnborough wasn''t good enough, and all of that was on McNally''s watch.

"the golden ticket to becoming the next Chelsea/Man City."

I don''t believe I just read that.

To think I have to resist accusing myself of possessing a sense of entitlement by expecting the club to be yo-yoing between the top two divisions more often rather that languishing in the middle of the Championship, but that nonsense takes the biscuit.

Is the nut-job who posted that for real? I could list all the reasons why it is delusion of the highest order but I want to watch the Germany match this evening.

There might come a time when the tide turns against Delia & Co., and it might not be too far away, but to state that the current regime is an obstacle to us becoming a Manchester City or a Chelsea is silly.

You seem to be forgetting that Man City were in L1 not that long ago and Chelsea were an ordinary club before getting their billions stolen from the Russian state. Taken all this time for the UK govt to have qualms about renewing the boy''s work visa.

Doomcaster left the club in 2009.

Delia and Wynnie are mates of Hodgson''s (I can scarcely believe you don''t know that)

The 3 of them had a little chat about impending administration and the need for a new CEO to perform a rescue act.

The boy Hodgson with his Fulham connection mentioned McNasty. The rest is history.
Have tried to work out where we will get the 50 points needed to survive

At my most optimistic I can see 40 points at best
I think that reflects more your low level of education (not being able to count) than ever our fortunes next season

Indeed. When you look at all those other clubs that have become the next Chelsea/Man City by selling to a sheikh immediately on promotion to the Premier League it really does put everything into perspective. How come they are all as successful as those two teams and we aren''t. I wish we were...were...er...those other teams.

Too many fans on here like to point to the failings of other clubs in order to excuse the many, repeated failings of the owners of this club.

I am not talking, nor am interested in what other clubs fail to do. I am only interested in what this club should have/should be doing.

There are 2 examples there of what can be done. There is also Leicester''s EPL win. End of.

There is no excuse for failure, only a price. If you worked for Ernst Stavro Blofeld that price was the piranha fish tank.
