Two more games left, it would be good to inflict a whitewash (5-0)
And talking of colours the Aussies changed to all green after they took so much stick in their usual ODI colours of yellow
Naughty folk kept mentioning how much that colour reminded them of sandpaper
You can usually find the game on the usual streams, however Radio 5 has been excellent so far
Just been missing Sir Geoff .. knowledgeable I''ll grant, but so easy to wind up

Jesus, what a comeback !
chasing 206 England were 86-6, then 114-8
top order bowled out with only the England wicket keeper and two bowlers left to try and score another 80 plus,
the crowd though were magnificent
they sung and England swung (the bat)
steadily (not the pi ssed crowd) they ate into the lead,
then right at the end a bitter blow as the bowler Rachid was out and it was down to the last man to hold out while trying to get the wickie (Buttler) on strike
he knocked his hundred, as England reached 200 and then it was over
England had won against all the odds....5-0, a whitewash
oh to be in England on such days

Really was quite a match.

Buttler was incredible- the 6 he hit after Rashid got out was a crucial momentum swinger- and Rashid played an absolutely crucial supporting role. Always know it is an exciting match when fans are cheering every ball a player doesn''t get out as they did with Ball.

114-8
There seemed no way England could win. I expected Buttler to last for a bit more and that was it. Then it was a case of once it was in sight would England fall so close.
What a game
For those who want to see the six (as above) and the end
lazy beggars go to 1min 20secs

Beautiful

That shot does highlight how the game can swing on one ball- Australia must have fancied chances with us still needing 11 runs with Jake Ball at the wicket so for Buttler to take the wind out of their sales the very next ball with that shot was crucial.

I think it was more a case of rubbing their noses in it.
Ball appeared quite capable of staying in, allowing Buttler to take England over the line. And it was as Gilchrists said
A team can pull a win from defeat while the other etc....
A very enjoyable one day series with great competitiveness shown (by England).
The Aussies have been conclusively destroyed. Games can hinge on who bats first the weather etc, but to lose all games suggest the defeat was comprehensive and ''sandpaper'' incident may have had more of an effect than might have been at first thought.
Cynics might suggest that without such ''trickery'' they are not up to it.

oh dear, they even lost to England in the T20 game
odd how without the use of sandpaper those all conquering aussies don''t seem to be so all conquering
ps I wonder who is still in the World Cup and who is going home ?
