Their new man, who is not short of an opinion or two, still seems to have a L1 mindset having only signed two very average wingers from nothing clubs and nothing else added whatsoever.

Even the proposed are lower league and a central defender from Blackpool is now top of his list.

It''s not that easy, unless your name is Paul Lambert, and the midget seems a bit clueless despite constant mouthing off. He sure talks a good game.

Out of his depth springs to mind.

Fair to say the Braintree squad is one in transition. Having got promoted last season rather surprisingly they are having to pull a squad together to compete in the National League on a shoe string budget. That process was evident midweek when they were completely outplayed by Colchester (losing 5-0) but this afternoon they dominated from start to finish and probably should have won by a few more. Best summed up by saying one team looked like a bunch of part-timers who’ve had only had a few training sessions together and the other side were Braintree

A disgrace that we finished below them last season....but even for the sales of murphy and maddison it''s allowed us to spend a bit of money around the team.....they haven''t a pot to pi $$ in and have a lower league manager.....think they''ll struggle....please let this be the season they finally bring their 17 season stay in the championship to an end

Not sure about that, but to be fair to them, at least they managed to keep the score down against opposition that are most likely far more technically gifted than the Ip5h1t collaborative.

Ipswich have been massively out preforming the quality of chances they make for a long time:

If they don’t:

keep up a top 6 conversion rate

deal with the defence that faced the most shots of any team last season, by a long way.

sort out an attack that created the third least shots

then they are in trouble.

Whilst it''s always pleasant seeing the scum humbled I seem to remember them getting thumped by a lower league side last preseason and then staring the season in decent fashion.

In almost every aspect, preseason isn''t an indicator to much.
