Everton’s pre season game against a Austrian team in their fifth league, what did that achieve ? Video of the goals on BBC Sport website, the goalie gave up after 15 !

Kinda pointless friendly this and a waste of everyone''s time. It isn''t productive in any shape or form. I''d rather have a hard fought 0-0 than a 22-0 walkover. It''s no good for fitness or anything really.

Guess you can''t win sometimes no matter what happens!

is good for betting ;-)

Easy money for handy cap bettors! Also may be ATV players who celebrate 60 years of this am team bet against himself ...

I watch most of the game and they was shocking bad really.

And same time Everton play pretty much 1st squad with full turnover at half time and not use youths at all.

It''s a goal every four minutes. The home team must have kept the ball for a least a minute from each restart, surely?

Actually, I heard that Ipswich had a scout watching the game and the Irdning players were trying their hardest not to impress.
maybe they were actually playing an Italian non-league team, and no one told the manager or Evertons social media team. (bonus points to anyone who gets this)
Can''t recall their name but we played a team of waiters and postmen on a tour of Italy a few years back. Who was in charge then? Think it must have been just before Lambert''s reign.

Norwich City apologise to Italian club after claiming 13-0 win

Norwich''s friendly against Italian minnows

"You can only beat what''s in front of you," Norwich boss Neil Adams said after a 13-0 pre-season win... The only problem was they did not know what was in front of them.

The Canaries have apologised to Italian side Saint-Christophe Vallee d''Aoste after a case of mistaken team identity saw them claim to have hammered the Serie D outfit.

Norwich - relegated to the Championship last season - were due to face Italian Serie C side Novara as part of a training camp in the country, but the fixture was cancelled.

Replacement opponents were drafted in and Norwich took to their website after the meeting to report a double-figure success over Saint-Christophe Vallee d''Aoste on Sunday.

However after the fourth tier club pointed out that they had not played any match against Norwich, it turned out that the Canaries had in fact faced a "regional select side" from Italy''s Aosta region.

Norwich''s pre-season so far

Opponent Result

Dereham Town (away) 1-0 win

Braintree Town (away) 6-1 win

Aosta select XI 13-0 win

"In our original match report for this warm-up fixture, acting in good faith on the basis of information given to the club, we incorrectly reported that we had played against local club side SC Vallee d''Aoste," said Norwich in a statement.
