Firstly, if it’s purple canary that probably just means you are holding it too tightly.

Second, I’m pretty sure that the Directors took soundings from some very wise heads on the structure that was finally adopted, notably Roy Hodgkinson. The fact that another role was created as a result of the new strategy is of little consequence because sometimes money has to be spent to either save or make money. It would be in total sums that pale into insignificance compared to player wages or transfer fees.

P.S. If loosening your grip doesn’t help you might need to see a doctor.
A couple of points. Yes the money may be comparitively small, but I was answering the specific claim from Big Vince that the club had been cost-cutting by hiring Webber, whereas if anything the new structure is more expensive in terms of senior staff.
As to how it came about, I am as sure as I can be that Ed Balls was the prime mover. He certainly talked to people around the country, including Damien Comolli, ex-Spurs and ex-Liverpool, who strongly recommended such a system. And may even have advised Balls to try to get Webber if he could, given that they worked together at Liverpool.
PS. The canary ended up that colour because it fell into the vat while I was tie-dyeing some kaftans, sixties-style.

I very much doubt that the salaries of Webber, Farke and Stone come to more than McNasty and Neil, especially when McNasty was on the big bonuses that took him up to nearly £1.7m or thereabouts.

The big question Vince is how much have the Suffolk socialists trousered in dividends

No matter how you look at it the sale of Maddison/Murphy etc doesn''t equal the spending a pattern that has been familiar for a number of seasons

I bet their net worth is looking healthy

If i did not know better Jim i would have thought you had been taking fishing lessons from Duncan Edwards on the Norwich City Facebook forums.
The football club has never paid a dividend on ordinary shares in living memory.
To be clear, as far as I am aware holders of ordinary shares have never been entitled to a dividend. That only applies (whether always paid or not) to holders of the A and B preference shares.

The preference shares are a relatively recent phenomenon.

It is not a question of whether holders of ordinary shares are entitled to a dividend, it is whether the Board approves a dividend; and any football club seldom does.

Firstly, Darren Eadie is not a legend. He was always injured.

Your club legends were Iwan Roberts, Grant Holt, Kevin Keelan, Dave Stringer, Duncan Forbes, Darren Huckerby, etc.

Secondly, is this event not hosted by the girl Diane?

As I recall, the girl Diane insulted me last season by suggesting that I supported another team down the A140.

I’m pretty sure most of us could and would do better than that with insulting you to be fair

Gotta love little Vinnie boy🙃

There is something about posters with "Big" in their name that means they suddenly get cut off from internet access for, well, sometimes months, or even whole seasons. I am a cyber-idiot so i have no idea what the technical explanation is. Is it some malware thing that objects to that combination of letters? Whatever, it must be very frustrating for these poor posters, especially if it coincides with periods when the club is doing well.

Gotta give it to the boy Vince, he was absolutely spot on. Can't believe we still have these cretins in charge. Delia out!

The problem with not waiting to see how something might turn out and instead mouthing off far too early is that you risk making yourself look a complete and utter @rse (again).

OK we all had some reservations at the start of last summer, but what a fairytale season, brilliant by the entire backroom staff, the board, Farke, Webber and the players.

In an alternative parallel universe Vince got it spot on!

In that same universe, his team avoided relegation and added a star to the shirt for it.

Do you think he was projecting. I mean if you apply what he said to L1pswich and change the names a bit he was well right wasn't he?

It is comforting to see that other posters are as sympathetic as I am to the distressing  plight of these disconnected "Big" posters. The internet can be an unforgiving place, but the solidarity shown here helps restore my faith in cyber-nature.

How wrong they were! The beauty of hindsight is that the Suffolk Socialists can once again be proved to be no good. It is obvious now that Huddersfield''s success has been due to the money put in by the boy Hoyte and the philosophy and methods of the boy Wagner. Webber did not pull off any masterstroke in finding Wagner. Going to Dortmund to hire your coaches is not the magic formula for success in football. Webber simply got lucky.

5 months after this post, Wagner left Huddersfield. 4 months after that, we were promoted.

You certainly don't need hindsight to realise that the amoeba-boy Vince is full of the smelly stuff.

If someone (vinco), has an axe to grind let them keep grinding cos sooner or later they'll have no axe left to grind, it'll be ground away to nothing.

But we have to listen to the irritating sound of the axe being ground in the meantime. 😥

There's always the ignore button, a bit like saying ' go grind your axe down the bottom of the garden where I can't hear you'.

I really shouldn’t read any thread “big” Vince starts but the replies are hard to resist.
