nutty nigel 7,509 Posted August 1, 2018 Welcome to Rays Funds, supported by Asset Angels, Turner European Consulting and Kare Plus. Greetings PUPs, it’s brilliant to be back for the twelfth season of Rays Funds. We’ve had a great summer with our World Cup sweepstake and competition. Special thanks to Kathy for the sweepstake that raised £160. And congratulations to the winners Lincsy, Tilly and Lessingham. Congratulations too to Twidio on winning our W/C predicting competition which added another £77 to our pot which now stands at £500 all raised since we presented £2,800 at the end of April. We also passed the £10,000 marker since we began all those years ago. Let’s see how much we can add by April 2019. If you’re looking at this and wondering about joining this season just jump in and take part. It’s not pay to play. Those that can afford send me a funds because we need 40 tenners to get through the season. My paypal is canaryeddie@aol.com or I’ll be in the Nelson opposite the train station after the West Brom game. Thanks to everyone who has already sent funds, your support is really appreciated. Now down to business for the new season. As is customary our reigning champion is in charge on the first week. So we have the brilliant Cosmic Twin picking the six results. Cosmic is our champion for the second successive season has won six times when making these final selections including last season’s opening week. Cosmic also has three winning weeks when selecting for the Norwich game. Picking on the first week can be a lottery at times but if anyone can find a winning six Cosmic can. We can help her to win number seven with our very best selection from the games played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of this weekend that are listed on the Bill Hill or Bet 365 web site. Thanks to our generous anonymous benefactor the Norwich game stakes are once again covered for the sixth successive season. This makes so much difference not just to the total we raise but also helping to involve more Pups making the final picks. For this first week we have Molly Windley making the final selections from your picks for our beloved team’s game at Birmingham. Molly is in the hot seat this first week thanks to KiwiScot’s World Cup competition earlier this summer. Molly, who has previous wins when making both sets of final selections, will need all your help with your usual high standard of suggestions. You have a tenner to spend Molly and can divide it how you like between the PUPs suggestions and your own. Hissing Sid has kindly opened the PUPs league again on Sky Sports Super Six. This is loads of fun. Sid tells me if you were in it last season, you''re automatically back this year. If you want to join us, please feel free, the league code is 2WCVNY Just a reminder that Kathy needs your Canary Challenge entries by this Friday don’t forget she said we could BOGOF again and any money won on the free entry goes into our presentation pot. Parma 🇮🇹☀️

93vintage 16 Posted August 3, 2018 Qatar: Al-Kharitiyath vs Al-Sadd, away win @ 1.33.The Qatari Stars League seems, at least in recent seasons, to be dominated by two teams, one of which is Al-Sadd.If you look up Al-Sadd''s manager Jesualdo Ferreira then you''ll see that he''s been in charge of several top teams eg Porto, Benfica and Sporting, and has a very good record.Against Al-Kharitiyath last season, Al-Sadd won 4-0 away in December and followed this up with a 9-1 hammering at home in April. The head-to-head record (from Al-Sadd''s perspective) of 22-5-1 74/20 overall and 12-1-0 34/15 away would suggest that odds of 1.33 are reasonable value. The Norwich game looks like a tough one from a betting perspective, with Birmingham on a good home run towards the end of last season, and Norwich on a poor away one.I think I''m right in saying that Norwich away wins on the opening day have been as rare as hens'' teeth for a generation, so I''d stick some money on Birmingham to win or draw, perhaps backing some low scores like 1-0, 1-1, 2-1.Good luck Cosmic Twin and Molly Windley, and all other pickers.
