On the above I''d trust Pulis and his opinion that meant he sold him to a rival. Obviously did not rate him.He also did not impress his current boss as he was removed after an hour.

Nothing personal as I am sure he is a lovely fella...
You mean Gary Monk. Pulis replaced Monk several months after Husband was sold.
Ah...fair point my mistake. Monk sold him so same thing really... Played most games in lower league, only gamed 3 times for Boro and neither Fulham or Huddersfield bought after a loan.

Just do not believe he is of sufficient quality for this league.

Went to Burton away last season and had to sit through 90 minutes of Hubby abuse. Frankly I thought I had wandered in to the Burton end and he was an ex player of theirs. To reiterate my earlier point - anyone ever thought that could play a part in his lack of confidence? Norwich do have an away support to be proud of but man there are some dickheads who need to take a long hard look at themselves. SUPPORTers!!

Maybe the problem is that at the other clubs he''s been at, their nice fans applauded him when he played shyte so he stopped trying as he thought he''d made it.... Support him all you like, he won''t get any better. Even the Pinkun journos have had enough and think it''s time to cut bait with hapless Husband.

He may be needed on Saturday, so why not show some encouragement, or if you can''t maybe better to say nothing.  Last thing we need is a player on the pitch feeling like sections of the crowd are against him............imagine there is a player struggling for confidence in a  football team you are playing in - would you shout and complain at him or shout encouragement to him?

Feel for Husband but I do understand the feeling of fans - I used to get very upset and vocal watching Whittaker. He was possibly a better player than Husband (and probably should have stayed in his original winger role rather than a full back). Husband or Whittaker? Hmmmmm

I would not abuse one of our players. Pointless thing to do.. My opinion of him stands.

He has certainly underwhelmed me so far and I would not be adverse to signing a loanee as cover for Lewis;

however I think that is extremely unlikely and he is here to stay. So while he (or Steipermann, I dont beleive Aarons on the wrong wing is an option, we wouldnt expect it of Pinto so why a youngster?!) is standing in for Lewis we will just have to get behind him and hope he continues to not being directly involved in any goals conceded.

Boo-ing him etc isn''t going to help. You don''t have to show active encouragement if you don''t believe that helps either but at least keep quiet so you''re not going to become counter-productive to the team you support.

Some were booing him on Saturday, Mike, they would probably do it again - unless someone can talk sense into them.
If you''re referring to me, then that''s false. I did not participate in the booing, nor did I advocate it. I said silence would have been the most appropriate response, but unlikely to occur at a football game. I also said I could understand why people booed, not that I agreed with it, and that if his confidence is so fragile that maybe he should seek alternate career path or start playing to an appropriate level so he didn''t get that kind of response.
At the end of the day, he chose to be a footballer knowing that he puts himself under scrutiny week in and week out. He signed a contract for several thousand pounds per week saying that he was able to perform to the required standard.

Must say I didn''t actually notice any booing when he came off but maybe it was because I was near the front of the stand. It certainly didn''t seem universal.

It was a mixed response, but certainly a significant element around me (Block 2 about half way up) were giving it full throttle.

I didn''t mention you.  I was behind the goal about half way up and there were boos ringing out, thought it was Brum fans at first then felt totally ashamed to realise it was people round and about me that were doing it.  I just don''t get it.
As for confidence being fragile, that is harsh imo - these are performers not robots, if you want them to perform at their best they need support - inspiration if you like - most people perform better like that.   To get where he has Husband must have a thick enough skin - it''s one of the main requirements of a pro footballer to be able to deal with the pressure - but everyone responds better to a bit of love, footballers are no different.

With Oliveira and Martin out of the picture, some ''fans'' need a scapegoat. Looks like they''ve found one...

Rhodes and Srebny had been my pre-season favourites for this crucial role in the team.

Fair enough.
Like I say, if he can''t perform to an adequate standard, he shouldn''t have signed the contract. He knew when he signed it that he''s sure to face the fans fury if he performs badly and he has consistently performed badly. I get what you''re saying and I think he had that rope last season but there has to be a line and he''s just performed badly too many times to draw a reasonable conclusion that he has anything to offer, and therefore people will see it as a negative every time he is in the squad because he hasn''t demonstrated any hope of putting in a performance that''s up to par.
There''s lack of confidence and then lack of ability. I think Husband is suffering both.

This is about right.
Pinkun journos and the blues fan site both had him rated as the weakest player on the pitch.
Hanley had a bad game, but even so, Husband was STILL ranked worse by objective observers.
That''s not the mark of a scapegoat.

To be honest, I''m quite surprised Hanley was rated above Husband for that game.

Hanley made several bad errors which could have cost us (two extremely poor misplaced passes), and one bad error that did cost us a goal. Husband was poor, but I don''t recall him making three massive errors that put us in trouble (I could be wrong), so it seems Hanley is just being given the benefit of the doubt being captain and, rightly, a fan favourite.

Anyway, kio - I think most people would agree that Husband has not performed at all well at this level, and that he would no doubt recognise and accept the criticism for this. But what I object to is the ridiculous scapegoating and childish polemic indicating he wouldn''t even be fit for an amateur team, which is provably nonsense.

It''s fine for people to hold those opinions, but also fine for others to call them out on it. Let''s be honest - now Martin and Murphy are no longer in the squad, Husband is the next natural target for the boo boys.

He''s not brilliant. I don''t think he''s ever been brilliant but he has previously been a decent enough option for teams like Fulham at this level. And whilst they didn''t sign him they did re-loan / extend his loan.
I suppose for a modern full-back he doesn''t really have great attributes because he''s not quick and he''s not strong, nor does he have any kind of height advantage.

If you want to look for objective thoughts...

Whoscored rated him as by far are worst player on Saturday.

Both they and Squawka rated him as one of our worst performers last season.

So it isn''t simply Norwich fans prejudging and having it in for him- those from the outside clearly don''t rate what he does

Whoscored rated him as by far are worst player on Saturday.

Both they and Squawka rated him as one of our worst performers last season.

So it isn''t simply Norwich fans prejudging and having it in for him- those from the outside clearly don''t rate what he does
It doesn''t matter if king kong said any of our players are sh*t, you still appreciate their efforts when at the match.  I''m going to the next few matches and I''ll be disppointed if I hear any Norwich fan soiling the match experience by booing one of our own players just for being on the pitch. To them I say - save your sh*t for the opposition and officials.
The modern way seems to be that some people think it doesn''t matter what they do as long as they are doing what they want, well that don''t work as far as I''m concerned. Some people need to learn how to support their team and players and not succumb to mindless negative rubbish because they feel like it.  We''re supposed to be  SUPPORTERS
Supporters definition - "a person who approves of and encourages"

I''m not trying to create an excuse for booin LDC- more responding to the comments about him being a scapegoat. He isn''t, he''s just not very good.

As mentioned before I didn''t actually notice the booing at the game so don''t really have a strong opinion on it.

I apprciate that KC, it''s just an immotive subject and it seems so foreign to me to hear booing at one of our players. I just don''t understand the mentality of it.   If things were terrible, maybe, but they are not - and if a player is picked and tries hard, they should not be subject to barracking of that kind.

I don''t think the booing of individual players is that helpful to be honest but I''m not going to try and police others.

I''ll happily admit I''ve booed the team off the pitch at half and full time, chanted for managers to be sacked etc etc though.
