Do we have another Jamal?

All these youth team players being developed into championship players, surely this means Webber is working as he changed everything at Conley to include how the youngsters are developed.

Webber talked about creating a pathway to get players from the youth teams into the first team and it seems to be paying off, with one or two a season earmarked to get first team playing time.

Makes a change from what came before.

That is all good news for the self financing approach as well.

Just shows that we should stick with Farke as he brings the youngsters through. Continuity is the key !!!
When do think Lewis and Max will be sold ?
Exactly. Delia is going to sell Godfrey, Lewis, Aarons and the boy Idah as soon as she gets the chance. It is the only way she can keep hold of the club without putting money in or getting new money in (both of which she is not going to do).

So where does that leave Webber and Farke? Surely from a professional point of view they are heading nowhere fast at this club as they will never be able to build a team that is successful and which has their stamp on it.

The level of destruction wrought by Suffolk Socialism knows no bounds.

Have you even seen them play yet Midlands?

Try and get some enjoyment while you can. If they are wanted by PL clubs and they want to go that''s probably when they''ll be sold.

That is not how it works.

When Delia agrees to sell that is when the boy wants to go because at that point he is no longer wanted here because we would rather take the cash.

And that is how every transfer of a player''s registration works.

Clubs are very deceitful. They like to "blame" the departing player for leaving, but we all know they are just dying to take the cash.

But hey, there has to be some way of sopping it to the fans.

Wouldn’t it be great to buy players to accompany the likes of Pritchard, Maddison and Murphy etc other than always selling them ? If investment had been average instead of poor when we’d been promoted I doubt this debate would occur now .

You probably think it''s great to turn every thread into negative whining. You were probably one of those who wanted to be Southampton bringing players through and selling them for millions.

I actually hadn''t seen a negative to attach to a positive thread celebrating our club''s youngsters.

I guess it''s nice to see the community''s investment in the academy paying dividends. The building work is coming on a treat too.

I''m off to watch U23s v Wolves. I''ll leave you to Corrie.🙃📺

It was a good game but not a good result. Our youngsters lost 1-3 and a certain Benny Ashley-Seal popped up to score all three Wolves goals.

Hes looking very good so far. Think Lewis looks like he''s improving swiftly too.

Not sure what it means for Passlack though. We''ve started 3 different right backs in the league this season and none of them have been him.

From nowhere to EFL young player of the year in 9 months surpassed all expectations.

Fantastic for Max and our great club

I wonder who's next 🙃

Maybe Idah will have a chance next season or will us getting to the Prem cut his chances? My guess is he couldn't have a better manager to give him the chance but a half season loan to a championship club (remember them?), might be wise.

You were adamant about Max et al early on Nutty, well played.

Had a chuckle at some classic Pig Mince in the thread though showing exactly why he gets the press he does on here!

I mean where do you even start with this visionary post...

High hopes for Adam Idah. I think he signed for 2 years in 2018. So I'm watching for a new contract. That's the only sign I go by. I used to think I could spot a player but I know better now. 🙃

Great for Max. Lewis in the XI team too.

Godfrey and Cantwell have also had significant playing time.

Superb all round.

I doubt anyone will go from being completely out of the picture to first team starter quite like Jamal Lewis did. His ascent was due to Farke coming in and identifying him when others hadn’t previously - you’d imagine if there was anyone else of that level in the U23s then Farke would have also identified them by now.

Having said that I do think we will see Max Arrons make his debut this season (unless he is sent out on a season long loan of course).

Yeah, I didn’t see it coming. Like many others.

His ascent from not making a first team squad to being an ever present is incredible, and pretty unusual for a young player - who will often drop in and out and rotate from the bench for a while. Like Todd Cantwell has done.

People who call others out for their incorrect predictions completely in hindsight and having offered no view of their own at the time though...

Oh dear...
