OT - Will Brighton Use The Chopping Block For Chris Hughton

Recommended Posts

The Premiership season has been a brutal one for managers to date. Chris Hughton has now seen his team yield the fewest points of any team in the top tier over almost three months, barely averaging a little more than half a point per game. Scoring goals has been a problem and that isn''t made any easier by the news on Glenn Murray and tax evasion charges. After failing to date to sign players they were strongly interested in Hughton turned to the Dutch league, once again, to secure the services of a highly touted striker, Jurgen Locadia, for approximately 14 million pounds.
Hughton has, of course, been down a very similar path with us. Their next handful of league matches, on paper,  present Brighton with an opportunity to pick up much needed points ( beyond that, their schedule toughens up).If they fail to do so they will undoubtedly become the favourite for relegation in the eyes of the pundits. Do you think Brighton will persevere with Chris Hughton or will the pressure to act  and make a change become too great? My own view is that Brighton will be playing Norwich next season in the Championship, without Hughton at the helm.
