Dean Coneys boots 1,398 Posted September 11, 2005 Last season we had (limited) success because we are a side that breaks well. Hence goal 1 yesterday.Has part of the problem been that we are not pinned back as much and don''t know how to play that way?Just a thought!
AJ 1,218 Posted September 11, 2005 good point vicar, similar to a topic i posted a few weeks back about failing to play in the ''championship way''. Same sort of thing where in the premiership you have all the time in the world, the oppositions defence sits right back and lets you play, and as you say most goals came from breaks. In the championship its pretty much the same thing, if your pinned back, find the space and you are through on goal. I think bringing in the reserves is a good idea, the way they play is different to the first team. Some players have to adjust and they havnt quite done it yet, hopefully that will come in time.
