Did Alex leave too soon?

Recommended Posts

Newcastle were clear favourites with the bookies. We were on very similar odds to Aston Villa and Brighton at the start of the season.

There''s absolutely nothing pathetic about thinking Pritchard''s late switch was money-motivated. I can''t help arriving at that conclusion; commonsense can be a real burden.

Bookies are no more a guide to results than mystig meg knows the lottery numbers.I would not have thought that a player''s choice of club is based on what punters had placed their bets on.
Feel sorry for him. Think he is worthy of a much better and bigger team than Hudds (not being disrespectful to them).

They are in serious trouble now as other teams are picking up.

Glad we got him, shame we sold him, but he only played four for us this season, and don''t think we''ll miss him (looking odds on we''ll see him again next season) but impressed that Farke/Webber are unearthing decent players for us
Feel sorry for him? He wanted to go and has increased his already heavy pay packet! You''ve got to be having a laugh!

In all likelihood, it was both money and the perceived better chance of promotion that made Pritch choose Norwich over Brighton.

Pritchard has never come across as anything but a highly motivated professional, and the opposite to the defined money grabber.

My prediction is he''ll start the next league game and become a mainstay, whilst inspiring a run of form that will see Huddersfield safe. Bold.

I am confident Alex will be making appearances for Huddersfield very soon, and I also imagine he will be a regular starter well before the end of the season.

Pritchard has too many good qualities to not play regularly. It''s hard when your team is struggling to win games, there''s no doubt he''ll get a chance very soon and I''m sure he''ll grab it with both hands. He''s the kind of player who is destined to do well at the top level and I wish him well.

I do not doubt that Pritchard will soon be getting more game time, but I also do not doubt he will be back in the Champs next year and looking for a move to a Prem club again. I have no problem with him leaving, I rate him as a player but I think he has made the wrong choice......

Pritchard started today and has scored. Huddersfield currently winning 2-1 against Bournemouth. I reckon there will be more goals though.

Think Bournemouth have more about them than Huddersfield so expect to see a 3-2 ending in Cherries favour.

That and I want Pritch to end up back in the Championship.

I watched the second halve and from what I saw I believe Huddersfield have enough in them to stay up... That said B''mth looked woeful, so who knows.

Looks like Huddersfield''s next 4/5 fixtures will make or break their season.

Gareth Southgate was at the Huddersfield match yesterday. There was a suggestion on the BBC that he was there to watch Alex.

In terms of ''doing him down'', I assume that''s aimed at Webber''s interview when he said about Pritchard asking to leave 2 games after he''d got back into the team. Whether that was exactly what he said or not, Webber has answered a direct question about why he was sold and what it enabled the club to do in January (sign Hernandez, Srbeny and loan in Leitner).

Oh, it also enabled us to keep Maddison for a little while longer, and at the rate he''s going, increase his sale price even higher for when we ''decide to sell'' (i.e. we''re not in a place where we have to sell him for financial reasons).

It was on the website on their commentary. Just their opinion though, I doubt that they actually asked him.
