charlies dad 0 Posted September 13, 2005 As promised. reserves report! With the first team playing tonight, it was always going to be a young side against coventry, and so it proved. As 0-0 draws go this one wasnt at the top end of the spectrum... neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled. God performances from Cave-Brown (booked), Howlett and particularly Spillane (again) but we were painfully lightweight up front. Ryan Jarvis played about 70 mins., looked to have picked up a hamstring on the stroke of halftime, and contributed little of note. Martin should have scored when put through by the lively Fisk, but pulled his effort wide and that was about it for City. Coventry hit the bar near the end, but it would have been unjust on the kids who worked hard and earned their draw and clean sheet.
