Which is it?

Recommended Posts

Steipermann has always been played out of position at left back he is far more suited to a midfield defensive role. He has the ability to go forward with some purpose which Tettey was never really comfortable with and of course he has the height which is an advantage.
The one that is financially stable, progressive, forward looking, investing in young players and a possession based/technical game that will evolve into something we can all be proud of challenging at the top end each season. The other is a club that is going to sell it''s best players at the drop of a hat to keep our finances in order, which will mean any progress will be stifled and an inevitable struggle to stay in the championship.
Is it just me or is there no difference in these two scenarios.Like in (1) how are we going to be financially stable, progressive and forward looking if we don''t sell our best players as in (2).And as our best players are mostly going to be young, more suited to a possession based technical game, and actually worth something (£), how are we going to achieve the style of play in (1) when we''ve sold the only players, as in (2), that are capable of playing it.So which ever option you prefer it can only result in the same outcome - we will sell our best players to balance the books, those that are left will be no good at the tippy tappy stuff, there will be no progress, there will be an inevitable struggle to stay in the Championship and we will not be challenging at the top end anytime soon.
