Reasons to be cheerful

Recommended Posts

With the season which promised so much petering out to a disappointing end and with fervent supporters on this forum even posting that results no longer matter. With virtually every game now so predictable in pattern and often scoreline we need some cheering up surely.

Funnies of the week:

Philomena Cunk.

The horse in the race before the Grand National who when "shown" the first fence before the race by his jockey started eating the fence.

ITFC throwing away a lead in the final minutes AGAIN.

Let''s hope Daniel Farke''s post match assessment is a serious matter though because he seems to be deluding himself somewhat nowadays.

Results always matter and having a manager who''s store of tactical nous seems emptier than a eunuch''s underpants is becoming no laughing matter

Whatever floats your boat.

Anything connected with Charlie Brooker has kept me amused on radio and television for years.

Diane Morgan (Philomena) is quite brilliant, imo.

I''m hoping you are not a fan of "Are You Being Served" and the like.

Love Diane Morgan in anything.

She was great in Motherland, Rovers and anything Brooker-related.

Apart from Cunk, This Country is one of the best things on TV at the mo.

The Ed Miliband (and Geoff Lloyd) podcast? Surprisingly entertaining, and popular too.

(And to anyone who is tempted to rely with the same tired old putdowns about him, please don''t bother, we can guess what you''re going to say and it''s not big or clever. If you want to listen to a couple if episodes and then say something informed, feel free).

My biggest reason to be cheerful is that this turd of a season is almost over and hopefully I won''t have to see buzz phrases like work in progress or season of transition used as an excuse for every poor result and/or performance again anytime soon!
