TIL 1010 4,656 Posted November 20, 2017 Best boozer with TV probably Coach & Horses, Thorpe Road or The Jubilee, St Leonards Road.Best curry house by a country mile Merchants of Spice in Colgate but as it is a Saturday ring and book.As for parking i am told the new one in Rose Lane is reasonably priced. Diane 498 Posted November 20, 2017 If you''re taking Tilly''s advice re the Coach & Horses to watch footy, you ll find about 4 Lion''s charity £4 car parks very close to the pub in Thorpe Road
corbs 147 Posted November 20, 2017 With the Compleat Angler now ''Home fans only'' where are the herberts drinking pre match?
Duncan Edwards 2,189 Posted November 21, 2017 The Coach is a decent pub, alternatively get back in the city and try the Murderers. Merchants of Spice is decent, Spice Lounge too, or, for a feeling of old school curry house then Ali Tandoori on Magdalen Street will fit the bill. Or, meet what remains of the inner circle in The Nelson, watch the footy in the Compleat Angler and then risk Prince of Wales Road for a Ruby, jobs a good''un. FenwayFrank 2,423 Posted November 21, 2017 Mullins, I’ve got to ask, had you thought about getting a ticket for the game instead of watching in a pub ?

Odd.[/quote]Been home fans only all season. Some away teams fans have tried to use the Red Lion in Bishopsgate but the landlord was less than keen.I suppose they''ll find somewhere....
