Does this fanbase include you JF?

Not any more. Havenโ€™t attended a game all season but Iโ€™m happy to protest at my tv screen ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜„
Come to the Brentford game[Y]

We should avoid relegation at least for this season. Sacking Farke is only tackling the symptom - the cause is a lack of finance. To treat that appears somewhat more problematical given the apparent attitude to new investment of the current owners.

I don''t believe we should keep harping on about finances.

We did have them and now they are virtually gone (is there a little for January?) and we aren''t the on;y club in this division with little or no money. Not every club has wealthy owners who throw millions at it. They buy clubs but still expect them to run as financially sound as they can.

We ought to be an attraction to lower league players and Maddison has proved you can pickup good propsects.

I remember Rodney Marsh being appalled at the cheap foreigners we were bringing in in the 90/00s. And he was right.

We have Raggett incoming soon and another couple of lads from L1 or L2, lads with ambition, and there is no reason we cannot compete, even if we don''t go up.

Farke doesn''t really seem to be under any pressure, nobody is really asking the question from top down. It''ll be sideswiped as being a ''transitional season'' etc. due to the systematic changes of coaching staff and management.

I''ve no doubt the true aim this year was play-offs at best. The chances of achieving that are looking very slim. We would do well to implode to the point we get relegated though so we should be OK.

A shame we didn''t invest when we needed it under AN. The dream of returning to Premier League football is looking ever increasingly distant now.

I must be in the minority then as I think he''ll do a good job given time and more options as people get back from injuries. He needs reinforcements in Jan but I cant see that happening unfortunately

Whatโ€™s the point in sticking with a failing โ€˜philosophyโ€™ or style of play that isnโ€™t working? It clear for however many home games its not working, we are slow on the break / counter and vulnerable to conceding a silly goal. A bad combination. We pass and pass and pass until any scoring scenario is cut off, we then go back, we donโ€™t ever put crosses into the box. I can see it, so why canโ€™t the manager, sometimes you have to change things even it goes against you so called philosophy, even if itโ€™s just a temporary thing. We never change tactics during a game, and rarely change the shape.

I thought we had a one year option too.

I dont blame Farke because our squad reflects the money available for transfers etc.

Dont forget our last manger managed to waste ยฃ30m+ on wages, national insurance contributions and transfer fees (where approriate) for the following: Naismith, Jarvis, Mulumbu, Andreau, McGovern and Windshult.

Then there is the ยฃ6m+ on payoffs and

probably ยฃ10m poured down the drain re Lafferty and VOO.

Overall about ยฃ50m. poured down the drain.........
As long as he needs.
[Y] I''m astonished by the number of posters who seem incapable of grasping that it''s not the same old, same old as before. Yet many of them repeatedly cite WBA (pre-Pulis), Swansea (pre-takeover), Saints etc. as clubs they think we should be emulating!
The whole club is sleepwalking into trouble both on and off the field and the fans are innocent bystanders in all this.
Iโ€™ve heard this somewhere before....

Was it under Hughton?

Or Neil?

Or Worthington?

Ah, yes. All of them.

Itโ€™s weird though, us innocent bystanders kick up a bit of a stink that gets the manager his cards and then when the next one is no better we had nothing to do with it and are innocent bystanders again...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

The sad thing is I really believe had we got Webber & Farke a season earlier and the budgets then, we would all be talking a very different way.

I''m all for giving both as long as they need, but my opinion is we need investment, we need to get rid of Klose, Naismith, Jarvis & Oliviera, to keep the likes of Maddison & Pritchard to build on.

Additionally we need to see more youngsters given the chance in the first team, Fonkue is 20, a major talent along with Adams who again has bags of potential, they will both be desperate to play, energy with enthusiasm, can''t do any worse than our current complacent starting 11.

Can''t understand so many posters are saying they think "Farke will turn it around" Surely this in hope rather than being based on any tangible evidence. Apart from the temporary blip when more or less everything went our way, we are no better now, after 4 months and nearly 20 games, than we were at the start of the season.

That should be adequate time to find out what players strengths and weaknesses are, come to terms with Championship football and put together a team that is capable of playing like a cohesive and competitive unit.

We still have no clear strategy, the team selections are disjointed, the substitutions are often bizaar and ineffective and there is never a Plan B.

All the evidence is that he won''t turn it around.

Turn what around? We''re a second rate championship squad on a tight budget! It''s Trybull, Zimmerman and Maddison who have shone above the old guard, I''d say we''re in for the long haul and it''ll take a couple more years to get rid of Naismith & Jarvis on their huge contracts.

Times not to change again at huge cost but to see this through. But I wouldn''t expect promotion anytime soon on our budgets.

The OP uses the wrong question.

The correct question is: how much longer for the Suffolk Socialists?

I''m not sure this has ever been stated, according to press Trybull said โ€œWe have an agreement for one year and that is totally okay. If I play a good season and many games we will see what happens after. But I feel comfortable here and I am making my first steps in the team and the club.โ€

Although I also read Webber say something about options after this year, but never a clear one that said definitely one year option.

I hope so, he''s a very solid young pro coming into his prime years, could well become a very solid player for us.
