Webber is the long term investment not Farke.

I can’t see a single one for the one trick pony hanging around either

Webber loves to blame the past, but let’s not forget the money he’s wasted.

£3.5 million on Franke - will be ever play again?

£5 million on Hanley - many wanted this signing, but overpriced on evidence so far.

£2 million on Vrancic

£750k on Stiepermann

There’s crica £11 million on average players. We could have spent half and got 2/3 more effective players from league one.

If we’d not signed any of these players, and kept Godfrey and got Raggot immediately we’d be in no worse position but £11 million richer.

You can’t afford to sack him?

Ah the grown man troll is back! What a great way for an adult to spend their Saturday morning, Trolling on another teams forum...

Speaking of debt, what’s yours at now? £75 million, 80, 90?

@Lincoln

You''ve just made those figures up. Steipperman was a free for a starter. At the AGM wasn''t it said that we''d bought in £19m in transfer fees while spending just over £8m?

No he wasn’t. And the rest of the fees aren’t made up, do your research.

People seem to be forgetting we''ve given Webber a humongous task.

So far he has had to...

Overhaul the scouting

Overhaul the academy

Overhaul the medical department

Hugely slash the wage bill (according to the AGM figures its down by nearly £10m a year)

Make a profit on player sales (around £10m, again according to the AGM).

Some of his signings haven''t been great but I don''t think Farke is getting even close to enough out of them.

In Pinto and Hanley we''ve got proven championship defenders yet we''ve looked poor at the back most of the season.

In Nelson and Jerome we''ve got strikers who managed 27 goals between them in this league just last season. Under Farke they''ve managed 6 in half a season.

Webber has to oversea an entire culture change throughout this club. To end a project that large after 6 months would be crazy. The whole point of a set up like this is that managerial change becomes easier. Farke right now is failing in every aspect of his job.

@lincoln

Youre right, Steipperman wasn''t a free, my bad.

However going on transfermarkt is not doing research, they are guesstimating fees as much as anyone.

From the AGM...

"Stone also showed exactly how much business was carried out in the transfer market during the summer, generating £17.4m in sales and freeing up £293,000 per week in wages. Those were replaced by £8.1m in fees and £120,000 per week in wages"

So unless he''s lying you''re £11m figure is clearly way out.

If it wasn''t so terribly sad it would be laughable. Lambert left us in good order on and off the pitch but somehow since then we have problems at the academy no credible scouting network before even going on about all the managerial and playing staff gaffs. The real worry is badly run business go out of business and we cannot have many more chances until the roof comes in

That’s interesting, given we made a profit of 8 million in the previous January, 9 million in profit in the summer and still struggling to finance the club with parachute payments.

Next year as shown our turnover will be hugely reduced but the likes of Jarvis, Naismith still on our books it’s going to be interesting how much we get for Maddison, Pritchard and Oliviera. Can’t see any other players having the value to sustain the clubs finances.

@indy

Yes, their is financial black hole that has to be filled until we get the wage budget down to less than £20m a year and even then it should probably be smaller. This isn''t Webber''s fault, it lies with ownership who are too stubborn to admit that they don''t have the funds to run a football team at this level anymore.

At least he got through a post without mentioning Dorrans and Howson.
But you agree we’d have been much better keeping those two than singing Vrancic and Stiepermann? Yes or no?
I assume that''s what they call a moot point. As they didn''t want to be here we had to replace them anyway.

Crap signings, crap players, crap tactics, crap results, crap football.

Solution, give the new philosophy longer. I don’t think the players believe in it, or Farke.

The sooner Ed gets the Jury back in and gets a real manager in the better.
