Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Season 11 Week 18

Recommended Posts

Welcome to Rays Funds,

supported by Asset Angels, Turner European Consulting and Kare Plus.

What a fantastic weekend we

had last week! Wolfie and Yellowf added £88 to the presentation pot taking it

close to £1700 since march this year. You PUPs were on top form too with 77%

having a successful weekend. What a great team we have.

For the first weekend in

December we have Graham Humphrey in charge and making the final six selections.

Graham is another PUP who has been on the team for over ten years. He’s become

a great friend to those PUPs who are able to meet socially. That’s over ten

years friendship now and all through coming together united in support of our

club and raising a bit of cash whilst we’re all having fun. Graham is a top PUP

too with previous wins when making these final selections and the Norwich match

picks. Graham also has a surprise for us PUPs this weekend which I’ll leave him

to tell you about. I think Graham is just the right PUP to secure us back to

back wins so let’s help him all we can with our very best selections from the

games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed on the Bill Hill or

Bet 365 web sites.

It’s  Friday night game for our beloved Canaries

this weekend and the long trip to Cardiff. We also have a change of plan

because of difficulties with our mystery guest getting a Pink Un log in we

decided to postpone until it was sorted. So I turned to our faithful and great

friend Lappinitup who readily agreed to step in at short notice. In fact Mick

said to me “that’s what I’m here for”. Lapps has always been a star like that

for our great team of PUPs. So this weekend’s PUPs in the hot seats have over

20 years of unbroken service between them. That’s awesome!! Lapps of course

also has been successful when making both sets of final selections. In fact he

has had a hat-trick of wins making the Norwich picks. He’s also been a profitability

league champion. Lapps will need all our help so please get your suggestions in

before Friday afternoon because of that Friday night kick off.

Have a look at the companies who support our work to

raise funds for the CSF and our wonderful Downe''s Syndrome Team of boys and

girls. We would like to say a massive thank you to:

If any other companies out there would also like to

support our efforts, we''ll be happy to add you to our list of links on this

thread every week.

Here’s one of my favourite PUP team photos featuring

both this week’s pickers...

So now I’ll hand

the thread over to Graham Humphrey and Lappinitup. Remember theres no pressure because we are all going to be doing our

best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of

raising money for the Community Sports Foundation and our fabulous Downes

Syndrome boys and girls.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Graham and Mick... the thread is

yours.......[:)]....

This week I''ll go for PSG to beat Strasbourg. For the match bet I just can''t see us winning so would be tempted by both teams to score and maybe Cardiff to win 2-1. Good luck Graham and Lapps!

I''ll go for Milan to win away to Benevento. The hosts have lost all 14 of their Serie A matches so far, and although Milan haven''t had the greatest of starts to the season, a change of manager is always likely to motivate a team... especially when that new manager is none other than the ultimate hard man Rino Gattuso! Odds of 4/11 look pretty tempting. For the match bet, the cynic in me is looking at Cardiff to win and Pilkington to score any time at 11/4... [:(]

Thanks Eddie.  It''s great to be doing this again and although last week will be a tough act to follow - not least because my own form has been abysmal this year - hopefully the diverse picks PUPs bring to the table will be a great help. Also, I''m hoping we''ll have a greater chance of a positive result this week.  I''ve followed on from fellow PUP and regular away traveller (and reluctant Farm Cafe visitor) Hammond1612''s example earlier this year and decided to put on two different bets - one set of six picks for Saturday''s games, and another one for Sunday.  I discussed the idea with Eddie on Saturday evening and (make sure you''re seated before reading this next bit) delved into my wallet to hand him another tenner to fund this. Therefore, I''ll be hoping for as many different picks over the weekend as possible so I can select twelve different matches in total.  All games - no matter how obscure or exotic - will be seriously considered.  Depending on Friday night pub-related plans I may post my final selections about 5-ish on Friday, or possibly a couple of hours later if no alcohol-related activities are forthcoming.  So as many picks as possible before then (i.e. the total opposite of my usual routine) will be much appreciated.Good luck to Mick as well (who gave me a lift to the Bayer Club for one of the earliest PUPs meets back in 2008).  It seems fitting he''s on this weekend too.  I''ll be back with a suggestion for him later on.

FTW has gone with my initial choice (decent price in the circumstances) so I will drop down a division and go for for Parma Calcio 1913 home win against Pro Vercelli.

As for us, away to a form team and even with a map seemingly unable to find where a goal is. Add in my presence the potents are not good.

So us to be winning at HT & FT is my ludicrous suggestion.

Pob lwc!

I''m going for the top v bottom game in the Spanish Segunda.
Huesco          v          Cordoba         Home Win
The home win is priced at 4/6 which seems generous. Perhaps I''m missing something!
For our game I''ll risk Josh Murphy to score the first goal.

There are a few ties that look quite strong contenders, but this week I am going to go for a home win for BAYERN MUNICH v Hannover 96.

I don’t feel very optimistic about our chances at Cardiff, but can’t bring myself to bet against us, so how about Pritchard to score last.

Good luck to the pickers!

In bocca al lupo 🐕 Graham...a lovely guy, really good man...

Think a trip to Bulgaria might be nice for the Sunday bet. Think a nice selection would be:

Vitosha Bistritsa vs CSKA Sofia

As for Lapps’ Norwich bet, it may well be the case that our set up is better suited to Away matches, though Cardiff’s relatively direct, oooressive style will test our discipline and defensive resolve. There is pressure, which typically means a reversion to defensive control, though this may be easier said than done.

Suggest a 1-2 loss with a goal from Josh Murphy.

Parma 🇮🇹

Before I forget completely - I''ll just add my choice for Mick''s match bet.

I think we will be pleased if we come away with a 0-0 so that might be worth taking into consideration - we''re probably due another clean sheet soon, and we''ve had some decent results away to teams near the top already, so I don''t think it''s a massive stretch.
