Richard Balls is spot on regarding the board

Recommended Posts

I like this final paragraph from Chris Lakey''s article on the home page...

''The owners are absolutely right when they say the club cannot be in the hands of any Tom, Dick or Harry. No one doubts the owners’ passion and commitment. No one doubts their integrity either. That doesn’t mean that a change would not improve the lot of the club and the people who support it''

Seems strange that local media are pushing the investment issue suddenly?
Richard Balls from this weeks scrimmage. The board must listen to how the fans feel.

Give it a listen.
So does Richard Balls know what all the fans feel?

Not all fans want them to go. Of course there is an argument that says change might be a good thing - but change is not always good.  The Delia out bandwagon keeps trying to push their views on everyone, but the argument works both ways. If DS/MJW were to say ok then, we''ll go - what then?   Who will magic up an investor who has the right credentials to take it on????

Difficult one to quantify. How many fans for instance.

How many out of the 16K wanted Chase out? Most probably didn''t care one way or the other but a noisy and committed group did.

Most people probably like Delia and Michael but I doubt the majority would lose any sleep for too long if a new owner came in.

I don''t think much will change unless we see a real downturn in our fortunes. Then maybe even the uncommitted will want change.

And I daresay Delia and Michael would do the decent thing if it came to that.

It’s not rocket science. Don’t all fans want to see a successful, entertaining footballing side?

And with a Director of football claiming at the AGM that past management saw finance “pissed up a wall”, widely reported by Archant, not surprising that Mr Balls is able to quote what he does. For far too long the owners and their chosen incumbents have hidden behind the Archant powers. Perhaps the tide is turning within those corridors of power!

If Delia was to bend over you''d see Mennis''s face staring at you out of her nether regions. Well reasoned and balanced he isn''t.

oh dearare you from suffolk perhapsas you don''t seem to brightany development would have been funded by a loan the projected cost would have been around £1.6m net cost - assuming all seats were sold at prices thenso we would be looking at around £2.5m loss pa now(or we could imply cheat every one as thieving neighbours did)

Yes TC it’s my view. Why is there a need to ask Archant journalists anything? When a certain NCFC Director was also connected to Archant, as well as Sainsbury and Mirror Magazine, (and don’t we all know of a certain sports writer who speaks highly of our owners too) the connections were there. Just so happens that connection us no longer with Archant, so the shackles are loosened! Maybe was Archant being used as cover but now they are beginning to talk!

Debt free the mantra espoused by Delia and the rest will be quickly forgotten by next summer. Another 3 or 4 years the £20m debt we took 10 years to amass will look chicken feed. When we have £20 - £30 m debt in a very short period Delia will find her nest egg will have shrunk considerably, £25 per share will not be attractive to a buyer looking to buy a medium sized club needing major investment. Unless she really wants to hand this mess of a club to Tom with a hefty debt.

Self funding is a joke trying to run a club the size of Norwich on the £30m we could realistically raise in ticket sales, Delia''s grub and sponsorship. That is why the debts will soon mount up. And in 3 years the club will not be attractive with the PL a memory.

Bit long to wait but it will be worth it when Smith/Joneses leave with tails between legs.
