simmo_2 6 Posted December 26, 2017 Just watched him against Villa,Something is seriously wrong with our club to get rid of that type of quality and keep some of the dross we have
Duncan Edwards 2,218 Posted December 26, 2017 Couldn’t agree more. The fact that we played Jacob Murphy last season when we could have had Cabo’s and their subsequent career paths only further prove that we’re a club of well meaning amachures.
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted December 26, 2017 Quality player.Wish we still had him.
AJ 1,218 Posted December 26, 2017 Never looked quality for us sadly and fell way behind the Murphys in the end. Can''t say he''s better than Pritchard, Madison or Wes anyway

Miss Demeanor 67 Posted December 26, 2017 Hit the crossbar tonight with a quality shot but they only count if they go in. Never seemed to do it for us but was he given a fair crack?
Syteanric 1 Posted December 26, 2017 don''t think he ever wanted to come here in the first place TBH but Liverpool probably leant on him a bit...
Gordon Bennett 780 Posted December 27, 2017 It''s a pity that it never worked out for him but the emergence of Jacob was largely to ''blame''. Saw him twice for the U23''s and he was very ordinary both times and didn''t look a team player at all, perhaps that may have contributed to his lack of appearances. The next few years will reveal if it was a good or bad decision to move him on. Let''s see where he ends up.
hogesar 9,615 Posted December 27, 2017 Well he came off the bench against us and couldn''t get the better of Lewis playing his first minutes at this level coming back from a long injury layoff. He''s about as bang average in this league as a winger that youre going to see.
hogesar 9,615 Posted December 27, 2017 Also this claim he never had a chance isnt true. He had Murphy in front who was scoring and assisting regularly. He had opportunities to impress in the u23 matches but every fan who attended those has said he was generally poor.

DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted December 27, 2017 Yeah we really missed a beat with this one, I mean in the year since he''s left he''s gone from warming the bench with Norwich city behind an England under 21 footballer that''s transferred to a premier league team to warming the bench at Brentford behind a player none of us could probably name, but he managed to hit the crossbar yesterday so that''s some tekkers
Fiery Zac 1,066 Posted December 27, 2017 Yet another example of a player who becomes amazing once they''ve left the club or been injured for a while. Or in other words, another way to have a go at the club, and in this case, a pretty pathetic one.Not as good as what we had last season and not as good as what we have now. Move on. DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted December 27, 2017 Scrap that it''s actually 12, managed to score a goal tho so that''s good 1 goal in twelve games
FenwayFrank 2,456 Posted December 27, 2017 Before yesterday’s game he’d had 10 starts and been subbed off in 5 of them, clearly a world beater

Thisisbabyish 0 Posted December 27, 2017 How many wind up accounts does LDC have!?Can''t even get a starting spot for Brentford, we''ve got far too many lightweights not willing to put in a shift as it is.
kingsway 94 Posted December 27, 2017 ["AJ"]Never looked quality for us sadly and fell way behind the Murphys in the end. Can''t say he''s better than Pritchard, Madison or Wes anywayDisagree!Canos looked very good in the friendlies, a Cup game against Coventry where he scored a great goal and a couple of early League games!Something went wrong in his relationship with Alex Neil?A good player we had who we let go way to easily! Mason 47 1,373 Posted December 27, 2017 A good player that suffered at the sudden emergence of Jacob Murphy in his preferred position, being behind Robbie Brady on the other side of the pitch as one of our assets and then mercurial Wes and big money Alex Pritchard in the number 10. Maybe he wasn''t happy just to sit on his hands, or maybe he had a strop and fell out with the manager. If he was key in firing Brentford into promotion-chasing spots I would feel sore about it. As it happens, we have Pritchard and James Maddison both of whom I class as much more exciting prospects.Imagine if we had moved Maddison on to give more playing time to Sergi Canos. TIL 1010 4,718 Posted December 27, 2017 Last night was only his 12th appearance of the season over half of which have been as a sub including last night.
Herman 9,710 Posted December 27, 2017 But they were the best 12 appearances in the Championship, ever.**This may not be true because I, and like I suspect all on this thread, have barely seen a minute''s worth of him playing this season.
king canary 7,578 Posted December 27, 2017 Hes been injured.I don''t think anyone is claiming he''s a world beater but it was a shame to let a talented young ayer go with barely any chance. Particularly when we paid more to bring Wildschut in in his position.
Yellow Wal 314 Posted December 28, 2017 What is this ''never given a chance'' that posters keep spouting off about players.Becchio, Lafferty, Canos and many others. They play football on Saturday ......... what do they do between Monday and Friday? Are they not given the chance to impress their manager by their work, attitude, ability and dedication during training? Can they not force him to give them ''a chance'' by what they do during that time? After all they are much closer to the manager at training than they ever are during match days.
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted December 28, 2017 Let’s all forget the form Canos showed for Brentford prior to us signing him from Liverpool. The guys a talent, and would easily add something to our current squad.

Maybe he lost the will to try, but he certainly wasn''t knocking on the door.Mind you, someone just pointed out that Chelsea let go Lukaku, Salah, De Bruyne, Ake as they weren''t good enough.
