STFU 0 Posted December 31, 2017 Available as he''s just been sacked by Forest. Personally I think he had a lucky streak at Brentford as he''s been pretty poo since but I remember he was the choice of some on here a while ago.

STFU 0 Posted December 31, 2017 The BBC are reporting that Warburton and his assistant were sacked while the DOF has left, not sacked. Might amount to the same thing though.

This is going to be an increasingly prevalent trend in the Championship, because there are so many clubs (several more than can get promoted in any one season) not just with very wealthy owners but very wealthy owners from a corporate rather than local-fan background. The combination of that more aggressive/ruthless corporate business outlook and the fear of failing to get promoted, and so falling foul of Financial Fair Play. is going to shorten the life span of managers in this division even more. And it was short enough before.
DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted December 31, 2017 What about the lifespan of a club that turns away any investor looking to buy a club so the owner can give her shares to a relative that has even less of a clue about how to run a football club than her? Highland Canary 78 Posted December 31, 2017 The most important attribute of a new owner would appear to be the ability to limit the ambition of its supporters to mediocre tier 2, 3 or even 4 football. To think that coming away from Burton with a 0-0 is a ‘good’ result - and supporters agree and still clap. That takes an impressive skill set. Woe betide setting an aspiration of playing tier 1 football, after all we wouldn’t wish to compete with the likes of bigger clubs such as Bournemouth.
