nutty nigel 7,778 Posted December 27, 2017 Welcome to Rays Funds, supported by Asset Angels, Turner European Consulting and Kare Plus. First of all I’d like to wish a happy, healthy and peaceful new year to PUPs everywhere! You have all been amazing in 2017 finding so many ways to add to the funds we raise for our brilliant DS boys and girls at the CSF. It’s staggering really that this little community presented £2,000 in March and have already raised £1875 towards the next presentation. Also thank you for all your brilliant support in 2017 in making it easy for me to administer this thread. I’m proud to be associated with you all. Making the final selections of the six results for this new year weekend we have one of our most consistent PUPs JB. JB is always up and around the top places in our league. Last season he had a terrific record of 34/41 83% winning picks at a profitability of 5.71. This season he has carried on in the same vein with 17/21 81% winning picks at a profitability of 2.13. In top form right now on a winning run of six and with previous wins in both halves of Ray’s signature I think we have every chance of getting back to winning ways this weekend. So let’s find him some great ammunition from the games played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of this weekend that are listed on the Bill Hill or Bet 365 web sites. If you choose a Monday fixture please make sure a price is available as sometimes the prices don’t come out until after the Saturday programme. For our match at Burton on Saturday we have Graham Humphrey making the final picks. I saw Graham on Boxing Day and he readily agreed to step up in our hour of need. Because I am committed to trying to get PUPs who won’t be making the main selections to make these selections I do sometimes end up having to ask more established PUPs at short notice. Thankfully PUPs like Graham, and Lapps earlier this month, gladly help me out of a muddle. Graham was really unlucky with the main picks a few weeks ago but he also has previous wins in both halves of Ray’s signature so we’re in safe hands here too. Graham, you have a tenner to spend split how you like between the PUPs selections and your own. I had to make a change to the rota for Norwich picks. Len please let me know if your date is ok. Norwich Picks 06/01 Mr Apples - Confirmed 13/01 Len 20/01 Mystery Guest - Confirmed 27/01 Wooster - Confirmed Have a look at the companies who support our work to raise funds for the CSF and our wonderful Downe''s Syndrome Team of boys and girls. We would like to say a massive thank you to: - http://www.assetangels.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/assetangels http://www.turnereuropeanconsulting.com/ https://www.kareplus.co.uk/norwich/ If any other companies out there would also like to support our efforts, we''ll be happy to add you to our list of links on this thread every week. In case you missed it on last week’s thread: Every Thursday morning around 25 local business people get together for a breakfast meeting. At this week''s meeting one of our PUPs took along a raffle book and a couple of prizes. The winners of the draw were Paul Elliot of Executive Maintenance (Christmas Treats Tower) and Terry Treacy of Gordon Barbour Funeral Services (Kare Plus wine), of course the real winners are our wonderful DS boys & girls because we received a donation of £180 which takes our presentation pot up to £1875. The group is represented by Norfolk businesses large and small and support a number of charities as well as helping promote each other’s services. They always welcome visitors from other businesses who might like to attend one of their breakfast meetings, anyone interested let me know and I will forward to the group to send an invite. So now I’ll hand the thread over to JB and Graham Humphrey. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation and our fabulous Downes Syndrome boys and girls. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away JB and Graham... the thread is yours.......[:)]......... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,5, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,3, Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,3, Cosmic Twin,6, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary,3, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox,2, Lappinitup, Statto, Mandie Moo,2, Mr Bump, Kathy,2, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC, Hughesy, Gregt,2, GMF,3, SwindonCanary, Twidio, Hector Brockelbank, Lake District Canary,2, Bor Bor Bor, Yellowfuture, Chellecity, Diesel Doris, Lessingham Canary, Molly Windley, Parma Ham’s gone mouldy,2, Feedthewolf,2, AJ, JB, PurpleCanary,2, Hoola Han Solo, Diane, Hissing Sid, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £2308 for the Community Sports Foundation. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,365 Posted December 27, 2017 In bocca al lupo 🐕🐾 JB....Think the Serie C Group A clash has some value this week, with the powerful attacking unit of Livorno facing the defensively weak Prato, so:Livorno vs Prato - Home win Congratulations on raising almost £2k already Nutella, you a fabulous guy, supporting a worthwhile and important cause, grazie 👍👌👏Graham’s also super decent and I think that the Norwich bet has some good value in it too. Both for the odds and the likelihood, I really like: Norwich to win away and Josh Murphy to score.Happy Christmas and love and peace for 2018.. Buon anno tutti!...👍🌅☀️Parma
AJ 1,306 Posted December 27, 2017 First of all, Happy New Year too all you Pups. It''s the annual time to also thank Nutty for the sterling work here does here for the Pups. So cheers Nutty, for another successful year of raising funds for such a good cause.Onto this weeks pickings for JB and I''m off to Italy for the Serie C Group A match between top place Livorno and bottom side Prato which I''ll back for a home win. Prato (0-3-7 away) have not won away all season and have mustered just 4 goals in that time. Livorno (8-2-0 @home) have scored 2 or more goals in all 4 of their most recent games. Odds are currently @1.25 which is fairly reasonable. For Graham I quite like the look of HT Draw, FT Norwich @ 5. Good luck to everyone, especially JB and Graham! Beaten to the punch by Parma and AJ. I may switch to a fallback in the shape of a Section 12 Tercera game in Spain (Mensajero vs Haria) if odds appear, but either way this Italian game looks an excellent choice, at 1/5. Livorno, top, have an 8-2-0 and 22/7 home record. Prato, bottom, have a 0-3-7 and 4/17 away record, although recently they have tended to lose by only the odd goal or by only two.For the match bet I suggest either Norwich City to win and Pritchard to score or - in a fit of even greater optimism - Norwich City to win both halves, both at around 6/1.A Happy New Year to all PUPs, and a special thank-you to Nutty for keeping this thread going and boosting an admirable cause.Good luck to all! Platonic 1 Posted December 27, 2017 Getting in early with Brentford to beat Shef Wednesday, which is around evens and is a fair, if not exactly spectacular price. For Norwich, I can not will not risk jinxing them, so would suggest over 2.5 goals (as I often do)Good luck all. They have a markedly better overall goal difference than the top team, and have been scoring plenty recently, although they lost their last game, at home, to the team in 16th. I am banking on that being just one of those results, and that normal service will be resumed.Haria, bottom, have a 1-2-7 and 7/22 away record. They have lost their last five, home and away, scoring only 4 and conceding 15, and their last game was a 4-1 defeat away to the team just above them. The current odds are 1/7. Graham Humphrey 13 Posted December 29, 2017 My pick this week is for Tranmere to beat Guiseley in the National League. Thanks for all the suggestions for the match bet so far. I''m looking forward to sitting down tonight (not in a pub) to put a few of these together. I think we have potential for a pretty profitable week with this game so plenty of scope there. lincsy88 98 Posted December 29, 2017 Wycombe have won their last 6 home games in a row, I''m going to bank on them making it a magnificent 7 at home to Mansfield so home win there for me. For Norwich, I am taking my Dad who hasn''t seen us win away from home (other than Wembley) since we beat Brentford 3-0 under the lights in October 2014. For that reason I am going for a 1-1. lappinitup 629 Posted December 29, 2017 With just over 40 miles of the M1 separating MKDons and Peterborough, I am expecting a large away following roaring their team on. Whilst Peterborough have decent away form, (more goals than anyone else in the division), Dons have only managed three home wins all season. So......MKDons v Peterborough.......Away win.For our game.......City to win and Maddison to score.Good luck JB and GH. [Y]And a Happy New Year to you all.
