Farking genius?!
7 points out of 9 sounds good.

Beating a team bottom of the league, drawing 0-0 to a team who''d lost 8 at home on the bounce and failed to keep a clean sheet for over a quarter of a year and winning 2-1 at home against a team who have failed to win all season sounds like underachievement.

7 from 12

Context is everything.

When you elaborate on a point you don''t need to conclude with end of or the international sign of the thumbarsers. Give it a go.
The purchase of Trybull was a work of genius, so was the upgrade of Madison and Lewis.

The vast improvement of the defence whilst cutting back on finances.

Having to cope with the pressure caused by the unrealistic expectations by some of the fans

Our problems have been caused by misuse of money when we have been in a good position, throwing more money at it will most likely not improve the situation whoever is in charge.

Ipswich got 6 points out of Birmingham and Burton away.

Still though, 7 points out of 9! Anyone who looks past that at the bigger picture and is therefore not delighted at it knows nothing about football. Or wants Norwich to lose. Or should boil their head. Or something like that.

All these references to 7 points from 9 not being a bad return completely miss the point of the thread. Nobody, or hardly anybody, are unhappy with the Birmingham outcome and nor were they with the team selection there. It is the 4 out of 6 that followed that''s under discussion and more specially the 1 out of 3 at Burton.

DF''s decision to rest pretty much all of the best bits at Burton, a team truly there for the taking, was a major error of judgement and brings his competence into question. `After all we have endured this season, we can manage without the manager nobbling us before the match kicks off. With two extra points from Burton, we''d now have completely closed the gap on 1ps5wich, If only.

Burton won 3-0 at Wednesday today and they''ve now won 10 points from their last 5 fixtures. It doesn''t pay to underestimate any team in this league whether you''re picking the team or just watching. I think if people weren''t trying so hard to justify a total meltdown on Saturday they''d be happy to take what we have got over Christmas and move on.

Glad for the win today, but what is all this "7 out of 9 points" about?, it is universally accepted that there were four Christmas games (22nd Dec, 26th Dec, 30th Dec and 1st Jan) and we accrued seven out of twelves points available, still a reasonable haul.......

People should remember that Farke is in a difficult position trying to rebuild the squad with hardly any money thanks to

£50 million being poured down the drain.

Lets hope Farke & company can continue picking up gems from the lower leagues in the UK & Germany.

The signings of Naismith and Jarvis whose transfer fees and wages can account for about half of that £50m were signings while NCFC were in the Premiership.

If you bother to look back at my posts I was having a number of posts with Morty where I disagreed with the prospect of signing Naismith....too old and too expensive.

As for signing Jarvis so that we could sign Bamford on loan and hardly play him was another case of NCFC not learning about signing injury prone players. Louis Jean, Thorne, Sheron''s hamstring.....expensive and poor value for money.

Its not a case of spending money, its WHO you sign that matters.
