Chelsea supporters in the home stands

Recommended Posts

If any of you ST holders or members have bought tickets for family/friends who are Chelsea supporters please be aware that I have it on good authority that any celebration of an away goal will be quickly followed by an ejection AND the person who sold/gave that ticket will have his ST and or membership taken away. I believe this has been told to all stewards.

I''ve seen plenty of away fans ejected during games (one being a West Ham fan, who had a hammers tattoo, on the back of his neck!), but am not sure what has happened , with the incumbents, of those seats.

A few seasons back a bloke sat near me in a Liverpool shirt. People complained about it. The steward spoke to him, laughed and walked off. As others have said I’ll believe it when I see it. I do know a couple of local Chelsea plastics that are sitting in home areas tomorrow.

Ejecting people because they prefer their footballers to wear a different coloured top to the one you do is certainly the only grown up way forward.

Trying to sit next to someone who is a little bit different to you without causing trouble is definitely out of the question.

I''ve heard next season they are going to clamp down on ''others'' coming into the ground anywhere apart from their own specialised ghetto by making sure that only true NCFC fans can get tickets.

Unless you can identify Victor Segura''s left nipple from a photo line-up of possible candidates you will be banned from CR like the imposter scum you are!

Dem''s da rools though, KM. Doesn''t matter if you and I think they are ridiculous, that''s the way it is. This harps back to numbnuts who cannot control themselves, in other opposition team''s fans, just because of the different colour shirts.

You can talk about drinking alcohol in view of the pitch, etc etc etc. Ridiculous? You bet.

Just wondering, who''s rules exactly?

Just the clubs are is the club enforcing rules from The League etc?

I went to the Everton home game at the start of the season we signed RvW.
Was sat in the River End as it was the only place I could get tickets.
Sat directly next to two Everton fans, who made absolutely no secret of their allegiance, were vociferously cheering Everton on, were acting like they were sat in the away end and generally being kn0b3nds etc.
Stewards were informed. They did absolutely nothing.
A couple of people in the vicinity got p***ed off with the Everton fans, told them to shut up, f**k off etc
Everton fans then threatened to batter everyone around them. Made all kinds of threats, shouting at people etc.
Stewards eventually fetched head stewards and then they fetched police. All of whom also did absolutely nothing. Just stood and watched them from a distance. Didn''t even have a word with them.
I ended up sat on the steps of the stand for most of the second half, because the stewards and police refused to do anything at all to remove the aggressive Everton fans and me and my Dad didn''t fancy a kicking.
87Minutes ticks over on the scoreboard and the C**ts jump up and bolt down the exit to their left, and presumably out the ground unopposed, as all the stewards and police had congregated around the exit to their right.
Same season, Hull accepted a reduced allocation for their fans resulting in quite a few sitting in the block next to the away fans which was meant to be home fans. I was sat next to a couple again. Very respectful, and caused no issues all game. Didn''t make a secret out of it, but didn''t make a big deal out of it either, engaged us in general football conversation and just watched the game. I''ve actually got no problem with it happening when fans behave in a respectful way, so wouldn''t expect the stewards to do much in this scenario, they''re just footy fans watching a game, not being arseholes but they shouldn''t have really been there.
Emailed Mcnally after the Everton debacle, and got a really dismissive response back.So yeah, I don''t put much stock in the threats from the club about away fans in the home end. The Everton fans absolutely should have been removed and 95% of clubs in the country would have kicked them out for their behaviour.

I''ve never really seen a problem with away fans in home sections as long as they show a bit of respect and don''t over celebrate, while living in the Midlands I lived with a wolves fan and a baggie so would always be in the home section for our games against each other, at molineux about 2006 we lost 2-0 and hardly had a touch of the ball, from early on in the game the lads behind clocked I was a Norwich fan and we had a bit of banter, our first shot was in the second which went out for a throw in so up I stood and let out a cheer to everyone''s amusement, had we have won the game it might have been different but who knows.

I''ve been in the pub by the ground The Molineux with my city shirt showing from underneath my coat, that wasn''t such a great idea and not so friendly but I was protected from a couple of drunk nobs spoiling for a fight by other home supporters, I''ll always try and chat to away fans visiting Norwich that''s part of football to me, as long as they''re respectful about where they are.
Where have you been KM?
ah, y''know, wheeling and dealing, ducking and diving, the usual.

I would have said that I have been away performing valuable missionary work overseas but people usually take that as shorthand that I have been in prison and I HAVE NOT been in prison.

I haven''t been away performing valuable missionary work overseas either.

Made me chuckle that a luton fan was ejected from the community stand during their infamous cup win. Summed up what is wrong with footballs segregation that only encourages mob mentality. Behave like humans not savages

I see nothing wrong with a well behaved fan celebrating so long a it is not OTT or gloating . I know of someone who has a shares in a season ticket syndicate at his workplace for Liverpool and Everton. Different people go each week and people can watch their own team when they play on Merseyside. It has been working fine for several years.

If people are sensible there should not be a problem.

I have been to a Cardiff- Norwich game with a friend who was a Cardiff supporter and we went to a "safe " stand away from the more vociferous supporters. No problem.

Had a Brentford fan sit near me in the River End, he had his shirt but had obviously between told to take it off. Completely forgot he was there until he was walking out & I joked he should have put his shirt back on

I personally have no issue with away fans sitting in with the home fans as long as they keep themselves to themselves and don''t cause any bother. At the end of the day, if City are struggling to sell their allocation of tickets at least its some more funds for the club and a bum on a seat (unless they are in Block A of the Barclay...).

If they misbehave, kick them out. Simple as that
If any of you ST holders or members have bought tickets for family/friends who are Chelsea supporters please be aware that I have it on good authority that any celebration of an away goal will be quickly followed by an ejection
So it''s ok for them to actually be there but it''s not ok if they are there and celebrate a goal by their choosen team.So if my wife and I were life long ST holders, our son was a Chelsea supporter and my wife decided to let our son go to the game, Chelsea scored, he celebrated, we both get chucked out and my wife and I lose our ST''s.It''s outrageous for the Club to behave like that.So what happens with the "guests" they have from the away teams sitting in the Directors Box - are they not allowed to celebrate a goal by their Club and if they do, does it mean that Delia & Co will get chucked out and have their ST''s taken away?Sounds like double standards to me.

I''ve sat with home fans when we''re away and it''s sh*t! Especially when we''re playing well. Being with our fans is a huge part of things for me.

I''ve done that too, but it''s great when we score because you can look across at our fans and see a sea of green and yellow with the rest of the stadium in stunned silence.

Not sure which steward told you that but the one I know hasn''t been told anything about the game yet, don''t they get their instructions when they meet up before the game?

Years ago (when it was the Endsleigh league) my ex brother in law and a work colleague got some corporate tickets for ncfc v wba as they worked for Endsleigh.

The colleague was a wba can, and the tickets were in the city stand. No colours were worn, and I told him he would be quite safe.

Before the game, there was some general discussion re who to look for, etc, and nothing out of the way, although a few of the locals in the stand realised that there was a baggie with us, but said nothing, just usual football banter, and all quite acceptable, from both sides.

City scored first, and the abuse they gave was beyond banter, and quite embarrassing, but obviously being in the minority, the baggie didn''t respond.

Later in the game wba scored, and their goal was celebrated, with some excitement, but being a lone supporter, less than the preceding city goal, (as expected home team and all that) but the city stand regulars took great exception to this, and went bleating off to the stewards, asking for him to be removed! Pointing at him and the like. Pathetic behaviour I thought, and embarrassing as a fellow city supporter.

Probably best to be grateful someone’s buying the tickets as it’s hard enough for the fans who aren’t members and season ticket holders to get them

Agree with some of whats been said. As long as they are not wearing Chelsea colours and gloating. etc

I remember seeing a lot of spurs fans in home areas of the ground when we played them in a friendly years ago and nobody had this conversation.

Lived in The States for 10 years and went to lots of football matches in Sacramento and San Jose where fans are not segregated and enjoy a beer and hot dog with no problems.

Never going to happen in UK with the yob minority element looking to provoke the opposition supporters.

PS Some of the worst of those supporters are far from kids
Not quite so easy when the home team scores though. I went to Portman Rd with another City fan some years ago and we sat in the middle of the harmless old boy home fans in the Cobbold Stand as we couldn''t get away tickets. When the fourth goal in a 5-0 defeat flew in the bloke next to me said, " You''re Norwich aren''t you ? " Wasn''t too hard to guess I suppose as we''d not moved for the previous three....[:D]
