the club is being specced for league 1 football, the owners nor their heir have the finances to own a modern day championship let alone premier league team but are intent on holding onto their play thing and hoping to piece together some sort of lucky 11 that remains mildly competitive and the clappers marching through the turnstiles, selling the assets and filling the gaps with cheap replacements no ambitionshamblesdelia out

It’s not about gearing up for anything, no one knows the future, but it’s about sustainability under the financial pressures of football at championship level.

Can we as a club realistically cut wages to match our income and develop youth products to sell to cover any debt accrued in the future.

Watching Bristol City doing well against Manchester City at the moment, going 1-0 up.

And they are doing what you suggest.

Yes they have a billionaire owner, Bristol lad. He has used his own money £40+ million to build new stands at Ashton Gate.

His manager, Johnson, has plunged the lower leagues for some good talent and others through their academy and they play good attractive football at pace.

We could do well to take a look at them at the weekend.

And they will have played a game more than us in recent days.

Delia is just all about the money and making money for herself.

Obviously the multi million TV deals and the like that come with the Prem league don''t generate enough money or income than League One..........

Interestingly enough the guy they are lauding at Brizzle was the same guy they all wanted to get shot of 12 months ago. Goes to show that sometimes it''s worth sticking with a manager and giving him a fair crack of the whip. Same applies to Wagner at Huddersfield.

And us sticking with somebody too long got us relegated and messed up the following season as well, so good for the m rubbish for us.

Football is a funny game and for good or bad often surprises us. Man for man the squad that lambert got us promoted with wasn''t a patch on last season or even this. No big names a lot of lower league players that just gelled and were superbly directed. We can have success again with the right chemical mix although the feel at the moment is dismantling rather than building but that can turn around very quickly

The truth is we have had our turn and didn’t take the opportunity, then got a 2nd chance and blowed that big style. Another 20 odd clubs will now take there turn before ours come round again.

It’s really sad how the club has got in this state.

Fast forward a couple of years and we could well be struggling to stay in League One!  Still, at least we''d have Delia and MWJ, owners who are fans and who love the club and to whom we should be forever greatful no matter what!!!No club is ever to good to get relegated.  League One is a very distinct possibility!
