Nelson £8m

Recommended Posts

Huddersfield opened with £5m and jumped to £11m+.

Derby opened with £8m. They''d have to jump to at least £10m+. That would equate to a £5m profit on a player in two seasons, who''s never settled anywhere

Lots of outgoings. We need some incomings to settle the nerves

Will you EVER STOP MOANING??!!
Sorry. I’ll just comply like fellow happy clappers such as yourself.

Watching all our talented players leave, and be replaced by crap such as Vrancic, Husband and Franke isn’t really that bad, I guess.
Franke is out on loan. But don''t let facts get in your way old boy.

A quick look on wiki at his Forest loan spell says he scored 1 goal every 3 matches in what was a struggling team that finished 16th. At 23 years old at the time that doesn’t sound like a player that has history to me

I should say averaged 1 goal every 3 matches, not scored! That would have made gambling on the outcome rather easy!

It''s a decent price but there''s no point in having the cash if it''s not invested. All this I''ll drive him there attitude is well and good but who the hell is going to play up front when he''s gone?

We''ll have the pleasure of watching Vrancic and Watkins instead of Pritchard and Olive but at least the bank balance is exciting!

I think HC that the season seems to have been written off and we are financing for next season with Farke''s own men.

I intend reserving complaints if next season is a failure. Not that I have much right as I''ve only seen one live game this season and not at CR.

A local Derby paper says that they are thought not to have put bid in as they have five strikers on their books already. Could be they''re just testing the water for if any of their strikers leave.....
Maybe Webber will dive in again and sell early + buy late... Exactly like you should do in the transfer window.... OH WAIT thats the behaviour of a moron?

Why would you sell Pritchard at a low rate early to the one club who bid when there''s 20 days remaining to nickel and dime?

If the t**t can''t look at Derby''s squad, see there are strong quality fringe players who would add to our squad and wait a little bit to get 15m worth of value directly or via player exchanges, then he''s really lost me.

Webber strikes me as a man who talks a good game but has very little substance or long term proof of delivery, which seems the ideal hire for the "socialist canaries". I''m willing to bet he rubbed his hands when he realised he could manipulate the morons on the board for a few years. You have to ask why he left Huddersfield... Seems it was Wagner who signed their talent.
Exactly

Not been treated well ?

Can''t disagree that DF and him don''t seem to see eye to eye but the fact remains that DF is a manager, NO a player. The manager picks the team not the player.

Can''t disagree too that on the rare occasions NO can be a*sed he''s class but that doesn''t happen enough.

Despite all the " we''ve sorted it all out " nonsense that came out of Carrow Rd after the Fulham embarrassment that rift has never healed.

DF is not a manager. He is first team coach who chooses a team.p to play in a match The players at his disposal for him to chose from are selected by Webber and his scouting team.
OK, pedantics of a job description but out of the squad of players available to him DF has to decide whether NO plays or not. NO is not selected but thinks he knows more than DF and lobs his toys out of his pram in a huff. NO gets back in the side but apparently still in a huff judged on his half-a*sed displays shown since.NO should be shown the door. No question.

NO should be shown the door. No question.

I totally agree.

When I first going to CR in my short trousers and with my dad we had McDougall and Boyer up front..

Both better than this self-opinionated trouble maker.

No problems either, even though Ted could be petulant.

Get rid. I consider him a threat to our manager and his plans.

If he goes then it will be because the deal is acceptable, not simply financialAs far as I can see he does not fit into farke''s ideas. I don''t doubt that we could easily find a striker or two on loan to cover until the end of season, even though that is not  the overall intention.Oliveira does not appear to have ''grown up'' so it might be that a loan (back to Portugal ?) would be the best solution as it would get him off the wage bill (partly) and the fee would help with a decent PL loan.He doesn''t fit in at the club

Since he''s been with us I''ve really appreciated NO''s finishing ability- you don''t see it very often these days, where you can see a striker is thinking about where he wants the ball to go rather than just get it on target.

That Nelson was last year. Nelson this year for whichever of the multitude of reasons flying about is a shadow of that player and has gone from one of my favourites to a bit grimace-inducing. The frustration on the side of the fans comes from the fact it seems (from the outside) self-inflicted.

I would take 8-10 for him, as long as we replace properly. I would imagine with a Zimmerman-esque gamble from Germany and a standard Championship forward you can rely on a reasonable return.

He’s 26 andhad a shed load of clubs, hasn’t really settled anywhere and always appears to be looking half hearted when I’ve seen him play. Maybe as others said he feels he should be at a club above where we are at now, if the club needs to sell anymore players I hope it will be Oliveira and Klose, as I really like the Raggett buy and if he’s returned to us as per reports then we can afford to lose Klose.

We really need to keep Maddison and buy as Diane said a couple younger hungry strikers from here or abroad.

Jerome looks like he’s out of favour and for the exit and there’s no way we can rely on changing Murphy to a lone striker orthink Watkins is the answer!

Rumours surfacing this morning of Fulham''s interest in Ollie. Honest truth about things is that half the Champs clubs are likely interested in Ollie, why would''nt they be. As to Derby''s "bid" one of the well known journos, Alan Nixon, was asked last night. his reply was two words. "Checked. Denied".Fans should really get a grip if they believe we are selling our entire team of quality players, was always likely Pritch would depart this window. Firmly of the opinion that Webber is doing his best to organise the  move of Yanic, Naismith and Martin. Of course Yanic''s left on loan, so we wait for developments on the other two.

Derby already have at least three better strikers than Oliveira. This report is absolute tosh.

Sadly he is just another striker with a bad attitude that we are stuck with!

Don''t panic chaps, apparently £8m''s not good enough - we''re holding out for more!

Martin should be announced next week, should apparently have been this week but there was a hitch, not sure if it''s permanent or a loan though.

Apparently NO''s scored two in 13 ( one a penalty) so he''s hardly been frightening defenses recently.

No doubt he''s a great finisher, but with so many clubs, one wonders if we''ve the best from him.

Whether we keep or sell him, we still desperately need another striker this window to claim, or push NO for that strikers berth. We have no competition for that spot atm

It is noticeable that Nelson makes no attempt to collect high balls sent forward by his defence he is beaten every time without making any effort to get into the air, One wonders if he is hiding some physical condition maybe the same bodily disorder that took him to the dentist in Portugal.

It''s being reported that Derby are looking at Jerome (not Oliviera) and ncfc want £1.5 to £2m for him.

They way both CM & NO have peformed this season, I''d be happy to make a clean break and start afresh with two new strikers

In a more attacking side he will get a shed full. He is not a one up front player and he is feeding of crumbs which in turn will eat at his confidence. £8 to £10m would seem a fair price in January. But he would have to be replaced with a striker that is happy and able to do the one up front role

I wouldn’t sell him full stop at the moment but if we are to sell him it absolutely must not be to a rival in this division.
