Norwich FIFA ratings will be interesting...

Recommended Posts

Just thought I''d have a gander at current ratings of our new signings;

Gunn 65 with potential of 79

Hanley 73 potential 78

Farnke 71 potential 76

Zimmermann - Not in game

Husband 65 Potential 70

Trybull - 66 potential 71

Vrancic - 72 potential 72

Reed - 69 potential 78

Stiepermann - 69 potential 72

Watkins 69 potential 70

I don''t think they''ll be too different to that

Nutty Nigel.....

Russ Martin is rated 72, 72 potential.

Ruddy 73 rated, 73 porential.

Rudd 71 rated, 75 potential.

Bennett 69 rated, 70 potential

Bassong 72 rated, 72 potential

Whittaker 70 rated, 70 potential

Mulumbu 73 rated, 73 potential

Dorrans 74 rated, 74 potential

Howson 74 rated, 74 potential

Murphy 69 rated, 80 potential

Lafferty 71 rated, 71 potential

You could include Dijks.. 74 rated, 78 potential

So other than Jacob, Fifa says that most departed players had reached their maximum ability and are only going to go down hill from there. Agreed. Maybe that 74 is a bit harsh on Howson though! 76 IMO.

Nutty - in Fifa''s and FM of the past, the rating would get affected by playing players out of position. Now I don''t believe it does.

Therefore, on last years edition we can safely play Dorrans on the left with no repercussions

Any I guess, it just means his overall rating as a footballer is 72 (out of 100 I assume)

Well on sofifa (website that shows all Fifa ratings broken down) Green indicates primary position, orange secondary. He shows orange for centre back and orange for right back. So guessing they have him rated 72 based on not really being 100% natural at either position, but able to do a job at both.

Something else I know little about. But unless I''m missing something by the FIFA ratings the OP was referring to we have probably improved our central defence whilst cutting costs?

I help with the ratings via the back office system. they are all based on reactionary evidence so often are a bit slow to increase or decrease. jacob this season for example will be lucky to be low 70s whereas naismith will likely still be mid 70s based on being decent for Everton 2 years ago.

haha, probably! I get access to the Norwich city page and can make suggestions backed up with stats and videos where I think they need to change them. don''t go on loads but sometimes about when the game is released I''ll go on if they are way off on someone like when Redmond was like 70 rated after a great season for us when we got promoted. will be keeping tabs on what they give Josh. got a bit about him this season.

Ah OK, thats quite cool!

Surely after Jacobs last season he will be more around the 73-75 mark?

I think i will just stick to going for a drink after the game and discussing what i have just watched if it is all the same with you statistically minded chaps.
