Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Season 11 Week 6

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the sixth week of

this Rays Funds season. Back to normal this weekend after the fun and games of

last week’s international break. It ended up being one of the strangest Rays

Funds weekends I can remember. And we won from a losing week if that’s even

possible!

This week we have Hammond1612

selecting the final six results. Daniel’s one of our top youngsters and he’s

just hitting form this season after a difficult start and is in profit on 3/5

60%. Now last season Daniel got a couple of those unlucky results to spoil what

looked great selections. I made a mental note to look forward to his picks this

time. I believe he’s a winner waiting to happen and the wait will be over after

this weekend. Daniel often pops into the Nelson after games and his enthusiasm

for this project is a joy. So let’s help him get that win with our very best

picks from the games played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of this weekend that

are listed on the Bill Hill or Bet 365 web site.

It’s only two weeks but it

seems forever since we had a Norwich game. International breaks are bad enough

but worse after a poor result. Can we bounce back on Saturday at home to

Birmingham? It’s difficult to know what to expect but luckily we have a top

poster making his debut for us. I’m really pleased to introduce King Canary who

will be making the final selections for the game. Kingo is a thoughtful knowledgeable

poster and that’s exactly what we need in the Norwich hot seat this weekend.

There’s no pressure Kingo, all the PUPs will be trying their best to help you

and will support you all the way. You have a tenner to spend and can divide it

how you like between the PUPs suggestions and your own. Good luck buddy and

thanks for joining us.

I had a great time last Sunday

with the CSF in the Bishop’s Garden. I met up with some of our wonderful DS

boys and girls and they were excitedly telling me that they had a fixture in

October. As soon as I know when I’ll let you PUPs know.

So now I’ll hand

the thread over to Hammond1612 and King Canary. Remember theres no pressure because we are all going to be doing our

best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of

raising money for the Community Sports Foundation and our fabulous Downes

Syndrome boys and girls.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Daniel and Kingo... the thread is

yours.......[:)]....

A nice bold pick to start off with, Tilly - someone''s keen to hang onto their 100% record! Although that said, what about those poor souls who backed France at 1/100 last weekend? [:P] Sorry I couldn''t make it to the NCFSC evening yesterday, ''real life'' got in the way.Anyway - I''ll try and find a little more value for Daniel, and offer Leeds to beat Burton at around 8/15. Although Leeds have drawn both their home games 0-0 so far, Burton''s away record of 0-0-2 F1 A6 isn''t the greatest start. Last season Burton''s away record was 4-9-10 and Leeds''s home record was 14-4-5, so that points in the same direction. As for the match bet, much as I hate to do this, there is outstanding value in bets that don''t point to a home win. With our defensive fragility and Redknapp''s experience, you can expect Birmingham to look for quick breaks and high balls into our box, so a clean sheet for Norwich would be an excellent - and unlikely - outcome. Over 2.5 goals at 4/6 doesn''t offer much value really, but if you can bring yourself to sacrifice loyalty for financial gain, Birmingham to win and both teams to score at 11/2 is a good bet from a neutral perspective.Or, at the other end of the spectrum, a goalless draw is a rather attractive 12/1! A Sunday evening offering from Portugal this week

Estoril (2-0-2 7-8) v Moreirense (0-2-2 1-7)- Home Win (currently 1\1).

For the match bet, I fancy a City win with both teams scoring.

Best of luck Daniel, King C and all you PUPs.

In bocca al lupo 🐕 Hammo 👍💪

Think Porto will be far too strong for Chaves, so a trip to Portugal and:

Porto vs Chaves - Home win

As for Kingo''s Match bet, I like the odds from Lupo''s 🐕💰spot on a goalless draw.

I''m not sure it''s likely on grass, it in paper it would be quite logical to construct from the back and start (belatedly) with defensive solidity. It''s a common refuge for a coach under pressure as it can to some degree be controlled.

Nil-nil draw 12-1, bet the farm on it 😂👍🐔🐥🐕🐷🐮🐴🐂🐣

Trying again to look for a bit of value, I''m so tempted to pick a draw in the Arsenal - Bournemouth game - Bournemouth were unlucky to come away with nothing at Man City last time out, and Arsenal were so woeful against Liverpool that the odds on them to lose are ridiculously short.

However, I think I''m happy to pick Burnley to beat Crystal Palace. Burnley might have lost at home to West Brom prior to their draw at Spurs, however Crystal Palace look so toothless (and are yet to score in the League) and Burnley have by contrast scored 4 in 3 games (including 3 against the champions) that I think Burnley will be gunning for the win here, and I suspect that they will get it.

Dear me, forgot the Norwich match (also, I meant the odds on Arsenal to WIN are ridiculously short)

For us, I fear another wily old English manager coming to Carra Rud and performing a smash and grab. I suspect we''ll have a lot of the ball and not manage much with it, so I''m going for under 2.5 goals.

Leeds home win for me this week

For city this is usually a low scoring fixture. I am not confident that the defending balance will have been resolved when defenders have been away on Scotland duty so am going for a 1-1 draw.
