Yellowhammer 92 Posted September 12, 2017 We can see it but it seems we are the only ones, need for a quality striker has been there for the past few seasons still have not got anyone who can score on a regular basis .
Kanadyan Kanary 129 Posted September 13, 2017 Or when teams come to defend, we need to work the ball to shooting positions outside the box, rather than trying to walk it into the net.
Jim Smith 2,498 Posted September 13, 2017 Yes we have. Oliveira is as good as you will get at this level.
Indy_Bones 444 Posted September 13, 2017 I''m not sure what you''ve been drinking Yellowhammer, but I''d give it a miss in future tbh.Oliveira already has 4 in 7, which would leave him on 26 goals by season end if that rate continues.Last season it was 15 in 32, which would have put him over 20 goals if he''d played the full season. Then you''ve got Jerome, with his average of a goal every 2.3 - 2.5 games, which means for the past two seasons he''s hit 16 and 18 (in 40 and 41 games respectively). So, in fact we''ve got TWO strikers who can, and have scored on a regular basis, and that''s still not enough for you?Maybe you think we should have been challenging Man City to sign Sanchez or something....??? king canary 8,406 Posted September 13, 2017 Yeah we''re fine up front. Nelson at his current rate should hit 20+ goals. The issue is that nobody else is really scoring.

At least 10 of our 18 shots were from outside the box last night.
Guest Posted September 13, 2017 Clearly we just don''t move the ball quick enough against teams who come to defend. Can''t remember much pass and move going on last night; but plenty of passing the ball in non-threatening areas.Whether this was tactical or not, I don''t know, but I think Farke was a little fearful of making changes last night. If Jerome had been on earlier I think we could have stretched their defence much more; their number 4 didn''t look like he had much pace, but was able to cope with Oliveira without many problems. How ''regularly'' do you think our strikers should be scoring?
