Baldyboy 0 Posted September 26, 2017 Surely if he’s fit enough for the bench he’s fit enough to start?Have never understood why managers say players are fit enough for the bench but not to start, if the player is unlikely to come on, wouldn’t it be better to give a youngster like Fonkeu a place on the bench so they can get the feel of being around the first team! KeiranShikari_2 0 Posted September 26, 2017 20 minutes of a good championship striker is probably better than 20 minutes of somebody not deemed anywhere near the first team.
Baldyboy 0 Posted September 26, 2017 Stieperman is not a striker, so what’s your point there?
kick it off 1,948 Posted September 26, 2017 Short of players at LB. Maybe a case of hoping not to use him but will have to if husband injured etc

Baldyboy 0 Posted September 29, 2017 Obviously wasn’t fit enough for the bench as bringing him on at Boro has seen him ruled out against Reading!
lake district canary 4,531 Posted September 29, 2017 We have two weeks for him to get fully fit after this game and it was a calculated risk on Tuesday to get us through a tough game - and it worked - we got the three points. If we win without him tomorrow as well, then it was worth it.
